Altitude hold whether alt is selected or not. Bug?
-
Just wondering if this is a bug. The manual doesn't say this is the intended behavior, but anytime the S-TEC is on and set to NAV, it will take over vertical guidance and hold altitude, even though ALT isn't illuminated on the S-TEC.

This just prevented me from having a successful takeoff. I had accidentally left the Pitch Trim switch on and the autopilot forced my trim down to counter my yoke input forcing me back to the ground.

@TheDudeAbides I believe that the MSFS native autopilot must have some control of the vertical axis whenever it's activated. In this case, it would be pitch hold. However, you should absolutely not have the autopilot activated in any capacity during takeoff or landing.
