I find that the trim for the ailerons in the Bonanza isn't fine enough - needs to be about half of what it is. I can't trim it out to fly hands free (I'm a NUT about having my aircraft trimmed out). Is there something in one of the files I could modify to change that?

If you're not using the entire quantity of aileron trim available, but want it to be more sensitive in the center, you can try reducing aileron_trim_effectiveness in flight_model.cfg. Otherwise, you should also be able to write to A:AILERON_TRIM_SET_EX1 directly from 3rd party hardware binding applications, and create the precision of 32,768 possible positions.

Exactly what I needed - thanks so much. A setting of 0.50 was perfect. Now I can trim it to fly hands off without the AP on 🙂

I actually reviewed this today, and both the Baron and Bonanza will have values of 0.25 in the next update.

Excellent - I was nervous to adjust it too far. I tried .7 at first and that wasn't quite enough, .5 seemed to do it but I think .25 would be even better.
