A36 Hobbs Meter Not Working
-
Running MSFS 2024, the Hobbs meter for the naturally aspirated A36 isn't running up for me. This isn't a state saving issue, it will show 0.0 at the end of the flight. It only seems to affect the naturally aspirated A36, the turbonormalized and turboprop Bonanzas work as expected as do the Barons.
As a side note, I'm really enjoying the Bonanza a lot more than I expected. I was always going to get the bundle, but if you had asked me before release if I could only choose one, I'd have picked the Baron. After all, we basically get all the pros and none of the cons of running a twin in the sim. But I find myself gravitating towards the standard, non-turbo Bonanza.

I do see this in several planes across my hangar. This seems to be an issue related to the core sim. AFAIK the Hobbs meter is managed completely by MS/ASOBO. At least I recall Nick mentioned this already several times.
the Workaround that seems to somehow fix this issue for me is a bit time consuming but at least it works.
- load flight, before moving only a single meter I do restart the flight via the menue.
- After landing and shutting down the plane, I do “restart” the flight via the menue, again. Important to not exit flight, just restart. After the restart is loaded into the plane I exit the flight.
This way the state save does work, hobbs meter is increasing and I do not loose flights from the logbook anymore.
EDIT: Just seen, will check the base A36 to see if I can reproduce. Normaly I fly the Turbonormalized version.
