    I received a message overlaying the PMS50 GTN750 screen upon startup, that there was an update available. I downloaded and unzipped the later version, deleted the old folder from the MSFS2024 normal Community folder, and copied the replacement folder in there instead. My updated GTN750 turns on and displays just fine, but my GTN650 underneath is dark and I don't know how to turn it on.

    I've changed the Secondary GPS to something else, and then back to the GTN650 again in the Tablet, but I'm at a loss, because previously it was automatically turned on when the GTN750 was on. I'm assuming it's something simple, but I just need a little assistance, thanks.

      I have tried re-installing the the Duke (V1.2) but that made no difference. I also deleted the pms50 folder, restarted the sim and the Duke, quit, and then reinstated the pms50 folder, but no luck. I also tried the previously installed pms50 folder, but no luck there either. However, it was working fine prior to updating / replacing the pms50 folder in the first instance a couple of days ago.

        I remembered I'd updated the RTX nVidia driver very recently ... so I wound that back from 595.79 to 591.86 and my GTN650 came alive! Can you think of any genuine connection in relation to that???

          OK - I have some helpful and strange behavioural feedback on the problem ...

          When I click on the Avionics switch in the aircraft (on screen) it powers on the GTN750 and all other secondary GPS, with the exception of the GTN650. If however, I use a coded physical switch (which my binding is AVIONICS MASTER 1 on/off), the GTN650 powers up no problem. Why would there be a difference? It seems that clicking the switch on screen perhaps doesn't quite send the right command that MSFS2024 wants to see - whereas my physical switch binding is received correctly and completely.

            I know you said you're using the PMS but the only odd behavior I've seen is when using the TDS GTN750. Sometimes when I start a flight that isn't a parking spot on the airport (so if I'm at a small grass strip and I select to spawn on the infield or somewhere else on the field) the TDS wont power on. Are you starting on the ramp or runway, or somewhere else not designated as a parking spot?

              @Sunake Easy fix for that is exiting out of the TDS app in your tray and restarting it.

              @Captain_J Only thing I can think of is making sure no circuit brakers got pulled accidentally.

                @SadBucket said in GTN650 won't turn on after I updated the PMS50 GTN750:

                Thanks for that tip! I will try that next time.
