I wanted to know if I buy the A36 Pro and can fly it in career mode? Or what do you recommend for career mode that works in it?

Unfortunately not, I'm afraid. As you may have noticed, many high quality 3rd party aircraft are not available in career mode. This is because the approval process and the requirements we must adhere to are very strict, and in my opinion, arbitrary in a way that doesn't reflect real world aviation particularly well. When MSFS 2024 was released, I said that I would be willing to take the substantial effort to make my aircraft career compatible (assuming there were no blocking issues) if enough of my community requested it. I know there are a few of you that will be disappointed by this, but to the best we can tell, my users are overwhelming disinterested in career mode. Sorry to delivery the bad news! I'm always listening to my users for suggestions, so you have provided one more vote for career mode, if nothing else 🙂

Career mode would be infinitely more appealing if it didn't require (unless Asobo changed this) that third party aircraft must be purchased through the Marketplace.

        No, thanks.

@jmarkows The last time this came up as an internal discussion with Just Flight, they contributed to a doubling of all the reasons career mode is so inconvenient for the developer, and then a subsequent email had even more reasons I was unware of. I thought my own list was bad enough already, but the reasons just seem to keep coming.

@Wutees If you’d like to fly BlackSquare aircraft in career mode, Neofly is a great free option that lets you use any aircraft you want. It’s also completely independent from MSFS career‑style features, so it doesn’t break or reset when a new Sim Update comes out

Thanks for the comprehensive answer. Career mode would be nice if someone took care of it, added additional planes, or at least fixed the existing ones. NeoFly is a very good option.

i hope you change your mind. career is an easy way to have aims and goals without 3rd party career mode addons.

i fly career daily and as such i cannot fly BS planes a lot lately.
                please change your mind.

                  @Black-Square
then i wonder why SimWorks Studio, FlightFX, FS-Reborn , AzurPoly could do it.
i only can image: but doing it once might make it easier in the future.

of course its a NOGO for devs and resellers cause career planes can only be sold in MSFS store which means no money for JustFlight and probably higher fees for the dev compared to non-MS stores. but the dev gets the hughe MS-store audience.

i can tell you from my perspective right now: i hold back buying the caravan as it is not in the MS store. second thing is its not career able. if MS-store version would be here i would buy it cause then i have at least the chance its coming to career later.

so either support JF or have the biggest market audience with MS

i can accept your decission but you have to accept also that some people wont buy your planes then. its always a give and take (besides i have all other BS planes in my hangar mostly bought in MS-store and some in JF store)

@eltoppolino Just to be clear, we submit all my aircraft to the marketplace as soon as possible (usually 1-2 weeks after our release, only so I can resolve any bugs with v1.0), and do so happily to support anyone who wants to buy through the MS store. Historically, it's taken an average of several months for those aircraft to be approved by Asobo/MS, and appear on the marketplace. In some cases, it's been 6-9 months, and we're still struggling with support for bundles. Luckily, I have the Just Flight team to work on these problems with Asobo, so I can focus on designing aircraft. There is another thread about the Caravan, but we're still waiting on one language localization file from them, the last I heard. If you would still like to wait, I can make sure we post any updates in that thread for you.

As for career mode, that's kind of a whole separate issue, since all of my aircraft are already destined for the Marketplace. You've probably already read some of my reasons above, but every time I consider what it would take to make my aircraft career compatible, someone brings me a whole new set of blocking issues that I wasn't even aware of before. Someone from Just Flight chimed in with their list of issues the last time this came up, but I can't find that post after many minutes of searching.

I'm sorry that career compatibility means so much to you, because I like to do everything within reason to give my users the best flight sim experience possible. Unfortunately, I think that the majority of my users would prefer that I focus on creating new aircraft, and porting new features back to my existing aircraft in free updates, rather than working on career compatibility. That being said, I am always listening to what means most to my users (that's why I love this forum so much), and I will be happy to rearrange my priorities if that's what would serve you all best. I hope you understand that I have to make choices like this sometimes as a solo developer, but I promise to always do the best I can for my users.

Nick dont get me wrong. i dont blame you for being late on MS-store at all. i am used to a waiting time. that was not a complain.

                      career:
a reseller saying its to much works sounds reasonable looking at the cash that he might loose. i hope its not your only source for that topic 🙂

i didnt say it means so much to me. i just told what happend at the end for me. i saw the caravan and thought great plane i want it. then i found myself waiting and not buying it and i thought why? and then i realized i bought planes and flew addon planes that work in career. i am 50 not a kid and i fire up msfs grab one of my fav. addon planes and do 1-2 flights a day and those flights i do in career mostly.
as i said its one personal perspective.

now to diffrent view: ms-store+scam-devs (mscenery, etc) = insane amount of money. why?
so basically there are many people wasting much money on those crappy planes.

so there is a huge potential and i think career mode is connected with this potential. those customers go straight into career. the past was flightsim is for serious simmers only. that is history. the insanity bringing it to consoles openend up a few hundred millions possible customers.

in my IT-mind i thought: once you are familiar with the integration its easier to port it to all planes since you know how its done. but hey its Microsoft. most times they screw everything up and make it horrible.

so dont get me wrong please i am not mad. just sad i cant fly the BS planes in career. maybe you are wrong with your user base theory. maybe i am right looking not back but forward. cheers

oh and i hate to check multiple stores for updates, donwload install and all that stuff. i got lazy
