Building an integration with Black Squares Add-ons

Hi,
I am building a deep career simulation addons and I would like to take advantages of the amazing simulations of wear and tear Black Square implements in their addons to sync with my database so that pilot so how their flight their aircraft and maintenance cost associated with that is being taken as a factor. Is there a way I can read the aircraft persistent state ?

@django1489 Nice try for what ? I just want to sync engine health or things like that so that my application can take that into account in our simulation repair logic. I don't want to steal their copyrights material or expertise. Just exposing some value i can sync with.

@fogboundturtle Don't mind him, he's just frustrated Nick hasn't replied to his request for modelled wear and tear on hard landings... I'm optimistic you'll get a reply if it is possible and will be helpful to you.

@django1489 Please understand these planes are developed by one person, and these forums are looked at by one person. Just because your post has not been replied to does not mean it was not read and has not been given thought to. Although your request may seem simple, if it is not implemented perfectly it will lead to a very unpleasant user experience.
- From what I understand, there is currently no way to accurately get information of a hard landing from the sim. Feet per minute (fpm) is not reliable due to sloping runways, a landing at Courchevel for example would require a positive 1500fpm for a normal landing (depending on aircraft speed and where you touch down on the rwy as well). G-force could theoretically be used for landing quality, but there is no easy way to connect a G-force measurement with the touching down of an aircraft, and that is assuming the data is even accurate with such a sensitive measurement. If you look at Volanta and other landing rate monitors that include G-force, the numbers simply make no sense if you actually do the math for them (which I have done because I am a huge nerd). *note with G-force you also have to consider compression of the gear suspension system along with the weight of the aircraft as well.
To put it straight, your request is not as simple as it sounds. It may be possible in the future, but with the amount of work to simply model the aircraft accurately it is clearly not on the agenda for the time being.

Interestingly enough, your primary concern is not even the first roadblock I considered. I think I can extract a good landing rate and other parameters with a high enough polling rate in the RPN. The main issue for me is that they would serve little purpose without being able to cause physical failures within the simulation. At least in my current paradigm, I would like 0% landing gear condition to cause some kind of failure, like hydraulic strut collapse, an uncommanding landing gear retraction, or at least a flat tire. Unfortunately, none of these are possible from within the simulation currently (as opposed to outside physics injection). That's why I haven't been so keen on those features.

I have actually spent considerable time thinking of how this might be implemented for my own purposes, but the limited persistence offered from with MSFS makes the prospect less desirable to me, since it seems like the most impressive career applications will always have to be external to the simulation, and therefore not available cross-platform. While there is currently no way to access this data directly from my aircraft, like I said, it's something I have considered, so I might have some ideas.
