Issues with pressurization
-
First time taking the Baron up to altitude last night and using the pressurization. At around 8k alt I tried to do the door seals. However, I got nothing. I checked the failure page and had no failures. I ended up using the standby feature.
Additionally, I couldnt get the rate of climb for pressurization to change. It was stuck at 150'/min. So once up at FL190, the cabin just slowly kept getting pressurized. Which was over pressurizing the cabin now. Meanwhile since I used the standby I had to keep adding pressure to the seals.
Finally I dumped everything, and tried the main seals again and it worked but with the slow rate it took awhile to bring the air pressure up. No matter where I moved the rate knob it stayed at 150'. Eventually, the rate knob started working properly.
Now with nothing failed and knowing these systems in real life can be finicky, I have no issue with this but writing this to ask, did I do something wrong or in a wrong order?

If you didn't have any failures, then I suppose the only operations are operator error, MSFS glitches, or some corner case in my code that nobody else has experienced yet.
I'm trying to think of a debugging procedure I could give you, but perhaps video or screenshots might be the most helpful. Sorry that I don't have any quick fix. It just seems there are a lot of moving parts to this one.

I am flying across Australia with the Baron currently so I will be testing it out more in the coming days. I departed Perth and discovered that my auto pilot had failed so I got to hand fly the Baron at lower altitudes for a couple hundred miles. It hand flys like a dream, like it should.
Honestly, I didnt think of this as being a bug since there was a backup that I used for a bit while I tried to troubleshoot. I got to see the pulse oximeter and the ear discomfort in action as I dump pressure and finally when the rate knob started working correctly. I did take a couple of photos but next time if it ever happens again will get video footage.
Since I was on AP at cruise and I follow ARROW, I do have both a printed out BS Baron manual (my boss would thank you for the printer friendly version if she knew I used the company printer for it) as well as I pruchased an actual B58P manual in my simpit. So I tried to trouble shoot while in cruise. I also tried to use your YouTube videos to trouble shoot it. (Crazy how great cell service is at FL190 in the Australian outback as if I had Starlink internet
).Heres some pics from the flight that shows what I saw.

There should be 4 pics to that link.
