Hello, Why doesn't the baron get dirty while flying?

Also noticed this with the Bonanza Pro, I used the dev debug tool to test it. With other default aircraft it works so I think Black Square simply did not implement it.

I've explained elsewhere that I was quite excited when I saw this feature in the MSFS 2024 SDK, until I saw how they implemented it. It requires wrapping all parts of the aircraft the receive dirt with high poly meshes, which can reduce performance. It's not just one mesh either. It's one for bugs, one for dirt, one for mud, and one for ice. This can double the exterior polygon count on some aircraft. More importantly for MSFS 2024, the LODs are strictly calculated based on number of vertices, so all these high poly meshes would cause LOD popping sooner, often before the camera even gets to the end of the wing. Performance and visual integrity is very important to me, so I chose to prioritize the overall user experience instead of the bugsmashing experience. MSFS 2024 is full of such compromises, unfortunately.

@Black-Square The more I scroll through fs forums, the more glad I am that I went into flying planes over developing simulated ones...

Hi, I agree, that Bonanza/ Baron look way to clean. If you dont want to use the internal simulation tool of MSFS, could you just offer a different solution, like 3 different base planes: 1_clean 2_used 3_old.
Something like this would be very nice.
The caravan looks pretty good, regarding the outside visual model (dirt, insects).

My post disappeared...my because it is the first?
I was asking, if there is a another way, to get some dirt/insect splatter, beside using the MSFS internal wear and engine.
Looking at the Caravan, that would just fine, if that could be added to the Bonanza/Baron. Thanks.

@Flightjust_BE I went heavier on the wear for the Caravan, since they tend to be workhorses, rather than pampered private aircraft like the Baron and Bonanza, but are you using 3rd party liveries, perhaps? Here is an example of what the Baron should look like with my official liveries.
