No persistence
-
I recently purchased the Bonanza for MSFS 2024, and I've flown 5-6 hours by now. However, the Hobbs meter remains at zero, and nothing is being persisted between flights, including options I've selected on the tablet.
I've seen others report issues with state saving after SU4, but I got the impression that they were talking about some specific parts of the state that were being omitted, not everything. Is there something I can do to ensure that at least the options I select are being saved?

There is a suggested workaround over in the Baron Professional section that has worked for me (with limited testing): After completing a flight, end the flight without exiting the sim. Load the plane again, end the flight immediately after entering the cockpit. Now exit the sim.
When I next start the sim and load the plane, the state from the previous flight has been restored. (I haven't checked if every variable is restored, but at least my options and the Hobbs meter are as I left them).

Ironically, it's actually the lost Hobbs time that made me certain that this was all part of the same SU4 issue, because I have absolutely nothing to do with the Hobbs time saving, and it's basically worked the same way since at least FS98. Sorry that you're dealing with this, but I think we will all just be waiting for SU5 to hopefully fix this once and for all.

Makes you wonder what all those simmers are doing on the Beta program for each update when something so basic as this can slip through. There's an idea for a New Year's Resolution - if you use the next Beta, find and report at least one issue every week
