Recurring Crash w/ Baron Pro
-
I have experienced a recurring CTD w/ the Baron Pro across both MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020, which occurs after flying for about an hour. I fed the crash log from MSFS 2020 into Co Pilot AI, and captured the interpretation of possibilities. I am providing the supporting documentation, for your review. AI suggests that this is a divide by zero, and could be from an ADD ON aircraft.
On these flights, I'm flying the B58P with pressurization on, in the case of this crash, FL200, but was during descent (like the other CTD scenarios also were). PMS50 GTN750/650 latest version. Latest (Dec25) nav data from Navigraph, crashes were across different flight plans different routes/airports.
Note that I was using SayIntention.AI as well.
I am not experiencing CTD's with other aircraft that I fly (C750, SF50).

Sorry you're having that issue. I know that nothing is more frustrating. This is at the root of why I develop my aircraft in the way that I do. CTD's should be extremely unlikely to result from my aircraft, as they do not use WASM, or any external software. Other than with early versions of Starship, any CTD is my aircraft is highly likely to originate from a GPS addon, or an otherwise unrelated system, like SayIntentions. In particular, almost every CTD I have seen reported with my aircraft originated from the PMS50 GTN. I think this is because it uses the default flight planner (though, don't quote me on that), which is full of operations capable of triggering a CTD, as was the problem with early versions of Starship. Thanks for sharing the crash log, though I see nothing that could be useful for diagnosing this problem. I think the only reason it mentions 3rd party addons is because my aircraft is listed under "UserContainerTitle", and also all your installed packages are included in a list. If you're willing to do a little troubleshooting, let me know if you can reproduce this with an otherwise empty community folder, and without an external applications, like SayIntentions. I'll be here to help!

@Black-Square Nick I am sure in your post above you meant "extremely unlikely"...

Understood. I have observed over the past few days multiple SayIntentions users reporting CTDs after injecting traffic and after 30 mins. Good to know regarding PMS50. One reason I use PMS50, although it is understandably not realistic for the Baron, is its DTK Sync which I find useful. I'll follow-up after I get the chance to test first without SI, and if it persists, I'll then try TDS in place of PMS50.
