Icing on the ground
-
Something I've noticed the last 2 days flying in the north is that I'm getting severe icing on the ground in both the Baron and the Starship (didn't try the Bonanza but I'd assume that too).
I just tried the Arrow from Justflight to see if it affected all aircraft (didn't test others but I can if it would help) and it's icing up as well but WAYYYYYY slower.
In both cases icing happens even if there's no visible moisture and it ices up severely - by the time I got to the runway the boots were solid ice. Just doing startup and getting a clearance ices up the windows enough that it's difficult to taxi. Happening at CYWG and KMSP tonight for example.
I actually enjoy the icing lol - but the severe stuff seems to only be happening on the ground so I'm wondering if something is off.

The accumulation of icing is up to the simulator, but there is a constant in the flight model for the rate of accumulation. I don't recall ever changing it, but that doesn't mean it's not something I've carried through all of my aircraft to today. I'll compare it to some other aircraft later and see if there's anything obvious.
