Windscreen Wipers have no effect & Cabin Sim question
-
When I activate the wipers, the water on the windscreen is unaffected.
Is there any plans on adding this immersion-feature? Seems to become more and more common on other planes, so it feels like something is missing on the RJ right now. Also general question about the cabin: Is the temperature in the cabin simulated? Meaning: Hot air blowing into the cabin works against the cooling of the cabin walls and any open doors.

Yeah the fact that this doesn't work makes take-off in heavy rain very scary.

Based on my observations regarding the cabin temperature, I think it is mostly based on pack configuration and airflow, but I have to base that on assumptions, not real world experience. But I think they implemented a more extensive simulation in the latest update for the 146 (at least they mention the effect of direct sunlight and open doors) and hopefully JF can transfer this to the RJ at some point.

The 146 and RJ both simulate cabin temperature based on the selected air source and temperature selections, and take into account factors such as if the aircraft is in direct sunlight, or if one or more exterior doors are open.
We did make some minor improvements to the Air Conditioning logic with the 146 v2.4 update that will be brought across to the RJ in the next update, but that's primarily related to the DUCT TEMP / CABIN TEMP relationship and rate of change.
