cannot start the engine
-
Imade some experiments and found out, that in my case thea hardware controller from Virtual Fly is the culprit. The module Switcho Engines allows to control battery, alternator 1+2, avionics bus 1+2 and magnetos 1+2. When I disable this modul in the software VFHub from Virtual Fly, I can start the plane.
Of course I would like to use the module, because it is very convenient. Is there any way to circumvent the problem? -
OK. Checking back in. I have successfully started the BS Bonanza twice. Same procedure I described before with a change when moving the starter to the start position. I was using the scroll wheel on the mouse to move to the start position, but it would immediately spring back to both. I was able to get to stay in the start position by simultaneously pressing the right mouse button while using the scoll wheel to rotate the switch to the start position. The allowed the engine to turnover enough times to catch and start.

I'm glad you got it working. Out of curiosity, do you know if you're using Lock or Legacy interaction mode? In both modes, the switch is designed to be held either by dragging the mouse, holding right mouse click, or with your hardware controls. I was unaware that anyone was expecting a spring-loaded switch to remain in the start position with just their mouse wheel.

Just checked again. I am using LOCK interaction mode. Dragging the mouse with right mouse does not move the switch for me. Using the scroll wheel rotates the switch position. A slight correction from my prior post. I press and hold the LEFT mouse button while using the scroll wheel to turn the switch to the START position. When the engine starts, I release the left mouse button and the switch returns to the BOTH position.
I checked for my control mappings and as far as I can tell I have no engine controls mapped to hardware except throttle which is assigned to my Joystick Slider. My controls are Keyboard, Mouse, T16000 Joystick, Rudder Pedals.

I can´t start any from Baron & Bonanza Professional Bundle. Only on MSFS2020. When I try on 2024 no way.
@marinhoc Would you mind sharing a video of what you're doing so I can help diagnose? I assume you checked the engine health, and you don't have any new hardware binding conflicts in MSFS 2024 that might be precluding an engine start?

None or very little fuel will reach the cylinders during priming if the throttle is at idle, hence the call for "Throttle - Full Open" in the checklist. If you want to see how much fuel is being injected into the cylinders check out the engine visualizer on the tablet. Let me know if you need anything else

Glad to hear it! Let me know if you have any more questions
