Hi there, I just noticed that if you try to do a custom departure, shut down on the ground in msfs 2024 with the TBM 2024 it in fact loads in started up. Is there any way to make this 2024 feature work with that aircraft?

    Thanks!
    Adrian

Hi Adrian. I'm sorry, I'm probably dense, but I'm not sure what you're looking for. Can you give me the steps to reproduce this, and what you're expecting instead?

Hi, no problem - thanks for a super quick reply! When you're staring a flight in free flight in msfs 2024, click on a random area. It gives you three custom departure options - airborne, on ground shut down, or on ground ready to fly. If you select on ground shut down in the TBM, it loads in started up, when I'd be looking for it loading in cold and dark.

Oh, interesting. Thanks for the explanation. I didn't even know those three options existed in MSFS 2024. I assume this works with other aircraft? MSFS 2024's aircraft loading sequence is very confused and often disregards what you tell it to do, so I've had to make lots of changes to my code and the configuration files as workarounds for things that used to just work in MSFS 2020. I don't think the TBM has received this latest round of changes yet, so that might be the problem. If you happen to have the Turbine Bonanza, you could see if that works in the same circumstances, which would give me some useful information.

Great, thanks again. Yeah, it seems to work with other aircraft, I don't think it is a general sim problem. I'm afraid the TBM is the only black square aircraft I have, so I can't give any further information. Sorry about that!

I wonder which startup configuration file it's using for that start... None of them are obvious for that scenario, unfortunately. I'll try to compare with some of the default aircraft.

Sorry it's awkward, but thank you for looking into it!
