    Hi there,
I have taken the Baron for a spin now in MSFS2020 and 24 and I love it.
Just a few things, which are probably more like sim problems, I suspect, rather than addon problems, but would there be any workaround at all?

    1. In 2024, the instrument lighting doesn't appear to light up all of the instruments and the flood lighting has very little to no effect. This isn't a problem in 2020 and is something I've noticed on other addons, so probably a sim issue
    2. I just cannot hear the audio nav aid idents even on full volume. Is there really nothing that can be done about this? This most definitely is a sim issue but makes instrument flying in something like the Baron unrealistic because I don't know whether the correct aid is identified or not. Isn't there some way of making custom ident sounds that are 10x louder?
    3. In 2024 with the PMS50 GTN, HSI set to NAV1 and NAV1 set to GPS, I just couldn't get the flight plan route to link up to the HSI or NAV mode on the autopilot. Only used the WT 530 in 2020 and it did not have that issue. Maybe I'm doing something wrong
    4. In 2024 (did not see this in 2020 at all), the magnetic compass on the top of the glareshield was consistently about 30 degrees off in a westerly heading but not accelerating; is there equipment that can greatly affect the compass in this sim? I had the heaters and icing systems on, for example, in my 2024 flight and didn't in the 2020. Or is it some sort of problem?

Many thanks and loving this addon!

For #2, check your audio settings for anything regarding Communication. I learned a long time ago that things like navaid IDs are piped through the Communications device you have selected, maybe there's a separate volume you can increase.

For #4, read the section of the Magnetic Compass Effects in the manual. It's pretty new.

Glad you're enjoying the aircraft! I hope you don't mind if I answer in a list. Lots of messages to get to today!

        1. I assume you mean during dawn/dusk hours? Yes, I very much do not like the interior lighting in MSFS 2024. I put a tremendous amount of effort into my night lighting, because flying at night is possibly my favorite thing in the real world. MSFS 2024's daytime lighting and automatic exposure compensation will pretty much defeat any nuance that I add, and all results disappoint me.

        2. I have no control over this, so your answer lies elsewhere, I'm afraid.

        3. Same as above. The navigation/GPS code is identical on my side between the two simulators.

        4. Indeed, I have a new magnetic compass effects simulated in these aircraft. Assuming we're still talking about the Baron, that large of a deflection is likely to have come from the hot-plate, directly behind the magnetic compass.
