V2.2 Issues?

The EFB Charts page zoom buttons appearing not to be functional, are likely caused by the bottom right corner of the EFB overlapping the clipboard with the interactive charts. In MSFS 2024, we previously ran into a sim limitation with EFB interactions, and to workaround that, we removed the "blocker plates" behind the EFB that prevent you from interacting with clickspots behind the EFB. An easy way to verify this will be to either move your camera slightly up/down/left/right so the EFB screen doesn't overlap with the clipboard, or click the top bezel on the EFB to move it to its second position on the window. We'll take another look at the EFB interactions with the next update to one of our products to see if we can find an alternative solution.

I can't replicate any issues with the parking brake. The parking brake handle is animating when I click it with my mouse, as well as when I trigger it with the TOGGLE PARKING BRAKES control assignment. Which method are you using the trigger the parking brake?

Hi Mark, thanks for the prompt response as always.
-
Ok yes the interations conflict on the map was the answer, move the EFB to the window and all OK, thanks
-
So, with my Honeycomb Bravo I am using SET PARKING BRAKE which seems to toggle the physical parking brake in the sim but not the animation. I just need to work out a way of setting it so I can get the animation also with the TOGGLE binding.
Thanks again for the assistance.
Cheers Matt

Ok, a new one. I broke the EFB map. Was in flight from EGHH to EGJJ and zooming out on the map and it wasnt loading as I was zooming out and then went blank. I will clip from stream to send to you.
It did eventually after a few minutes reload to an image.
Where does it stream the map from?

It looks like we currently only have the TOGGLE PARKING BRAKE control assignment hooked up to the animation. I have logged this on our internal bug tracker for our development team to look at adding support for in a future update. Thanks for reporting this.
The "Map" app on the EFB used data provided by OpenTopoMap.org. The loading of the map is directly related to the speed of their servers. So the loading times of the map will vary depending on how busy their servers are.

@Mark Hi! I am flying the F28 v2.2 on SU4, I want to report that the seats are not moving - I can hear them move but the animation does not work. The same happens with the RJ professional. You can drag the seat but the snap back into the original place. Is this a SU4 beta issue?
-
I believe it is meant to be like that as due to the 2024 avatars not being able to move in the cockpit. It is in the patch notes ...
- Fixed copilot not animating with seat - Cockpit seat positions are now locked in MSFS 2024 due to simulator limitation that prevents the pilot characters from moving with them.

@Woolies Oh yeah! That explains it, thank you.
@MPilotD Yes, I was able to fly the v2.2 in SU4. I had some issues with the installation, getting a "licence check failed", but managed to solve it by uninstalling, clearing the WASM folders and installing again. Did a single flight and everything seemed to work just fine.
SU4 is a great improvement in terms of performance and night lightning. I rather not fly an incompatible plane than rolling back to SU3
-
@MPilotD it's also working perfectly for me on SU4. On my first load-in, I experienced a CTD during the initial compile, but since then it's been fine. I would maybe try deleting the WASM folder first, then reinstalling, and if that doesn't work, chalk it up to luck of the draw on the beta.

@neucoas You managed to load the F28 V2.2 on SU4?? Can any JF staff confirm that it is indeed compatible? I have an issue where I'm trying to load into it and it never fully loads.
@MPilotD We aren't aware of any issue with the F28 in SU4, however, we officially don't support any of our products on the MSFS Sim Update betas. The Sim Update betas are beta releases, so bugs are expected, and it would be a full-time job in itself to keep all our products fully compatible with each beta update.
Once SU4 fully releases later this year, we'll take stock and provide any necessary changes/fixes to our products to ensure compatibility.
Our best recommendations at the moment would be to perform a full clean reinstall of the product to ensure that it has installed correctly:
- Uninstall the product using the installer.
- Delete any leftover justflight-aircraft-F28 folders in your Community folder.
- Download a fresh installer from Your Account of the store you purchased the F28 from
- Run the fresh installer through

@MPilotD I just learned from someone else who couldn't load the F28 in SU4 beta that GSX turned out to be the issue for them, so if you're using GSX maybe try without it?

@RPGamerous @everyone. Hit the nail on the head.... unfortuantely my inifnite-load was caused by GSX. Anybody else having this issue can follow the steps listed in this forum post. Apologies for bringing another addon's bug into this thread, but could be of help for anyone stuck loading the F28. Thank you Just Flight for updating this wonderful airplane. Can't wait for the F70/100 series.

@MPilotD Awesome, glad you got it sorted -- happy flying!
