How do you tell if you have a propeller, or other electrical de-ice failure? I would have expected the light on the de-ice panel to not light in the event it didn't work, but in my case it is.

I was scrolling through the weather radar, and I went into the old failure interface where, to my surprise given that I just installed it, I had one active failure. Curiosity got the better of me, despite not having any issues during takeoff and climb, so I opened the tablet and saw I had a prop de-ice failure.

During the preflight checks I had tested it and the indicator light lit up. I confirmed it still did even with the failure active, and on the Electrical tablet page it does not show it active even when switched on.

Is this a bug, or will you get the light even if it isn't working? If so, how do you tell?

While poking around the cabin between flights, I noticed the Prop De-Ice cb was popped. I did a little testing and the light was still lit even with the breaker open like that.

The current draw was definitely only present when the cb was closed, though, so that appears to be working correctly.

@Black-Square Please pardon the ping, I understand you're out traveling, I just didn't want this to get lost in case it's a bug.

Anyone have any opinions on if this is correct or a bug?

If you get a light and no current uncrease, it sounds like a bug to me. But it can always be an ac quirk

That's what I would think. I'm waiting for Nick to weigh in, but I don't want to be a nuisance with the pings.
