Thank You for 2024 Version
-
I just completed a perfect flight from DVT to SEZ in 2024. I was just thinking to myself yesterday "I wish the TBM was in 2024", lol. It is still one of the best hand flying GAs in the sim, both 2020 and 2024. I think the FDE that is expressed in the TBM is a testament to how one can overcome the inherent flaws MSFS have out of the box. The TBM is stable, not overly sensitive, holds roll and pitch without constant correction. Here are some screens, albeit from 2020 and not today's flight.

I only had a chance tonight to install it in 2024, then quickly launch the sim and hoped I remembered how to start her for a quick sound test.
Listening to that plane come to life is really something special, even with the stock TBM sounds. More Black Square magic.
The Starship is a masterpiece, but I think the TBM might edge her out as my favorite. The TBM is like a hotrod compared to the Starship's luxury car.

May i ask how you got the livery to work in the sim?

Awesome! Have spent all of my time with military sims passing by MSFS. Getting ready for retirement and having more time I decided to jump into 2024. Doing my homework I knew that the TBM 850 and both Dukes were the ones I definitely wanted to pick up. Thank you for all of the hard work! It was well worth the wait. By the way, learning the Starship has certainly been a great way to bide my time. She is absolutely phenomenal.

These were 2020 screen caps. I haven't looked for any third party liveries in 24 yet.
ETA: I'm looking on Flightsim.to and there are some 2024 compatible liveries.

I’d like to give my heartfelt thanks to Nick as well for more outstanding work bringing us yet another free update making the TBM compatible with 2024. Glad to have my favorite plane back. My only little teeny complaint is the taxi light doesn’t do much for lighting taxiways. But doesn’t affect my willingness to fly in anyway. Keep up the good work!

Thank you all for your kind words. As I said elsewhere about these free updates, they can seem quite thankless, so having your literal thanks makes me smile on the inside. Unfortunately, I have seen many complaints about Real Taxiways 2024 carrying only a 25% discount for existing customers, despite the price also being the same as it was almost five years ago, even though it's a navigation data based system that required updating of 100% of its data to be compatible with MSFS 2024. Anyway, sorry, off topic. Thank you all so much. It's your enjoyment of the airplane itself that brings me the most joy, because I know that not much else can be more fulfilling from the comfort of ones desk!

I would love to fix this, but I already have the brightness of my exterior lights set several times higher than the default aircraft, which creates such intense volumetric cones in MSFS 2024 that flying in dark environments is quite difficult to enjoy, especially if the lights are pulsing/alternating like the TBM or Duke.

To be fair, it's hard for us on this side to know such things unless you tell us, though I'm sure many people were rather uncouth about it, which is inexcusable.
I had the same reaction, to be honest, but your pointing out of the rework required along with your history of supporting your aircraft for free ultimately made it an easy decision, so I grabbed my USA upgrade and even the military version, which I never bought for 2020.
At this point I've almost completely put down airliners in favor of your various aircraft.
So thanks for that, too

Tell me, I made a flight, everything is fine. But after I logged out of the game and restarted the sim, the plane did not save the settings of the previous flight: the fuel was refueled. Is it just me?

@Black-Square Hey don't let it get ya down, it is an unfortunate human tendency to speak up and complain if you aren't happy with something but keep it internal when you are.
The thanks sometimes comes in different forms, such as repeat customers and recommendations to others in the community. On the very popular 'Top 10 Aircraft' forum thread you have the most aircraft in the Top 25, and the only two developers with aircraft ranked above your highest ranked plane only release new products every several years. I mean, that's huge. When people talk about the cream of the crop it's pretty much common consensus that you, A2A, Fenix, PMDG and JustFlight are the best of the best. And while maybe people don't think to say it, the fact that the majority of your 2024 upgrades are free is still well appreciated, especially because if you did charge for the upgrade most people would pay.

Thank you very much for updating this to 24 Nick! I waited for the release rather than try to covert 20 and just ran 1.4 last night. What a masterpiece! This is the best aircraft in the sim hands down. Had some good real wx to try it out (wx I wouldn't have flown for real) and it was great! +/- 20 knot gusts on final with one flap kept me honest.
