[MSFS2024] Quick guide to enable GNS 430/530 v2

Hi, just sharing here in case someone is (still) looking/waiting for it.
One of my favorite MSFS2024 features, is the freedom to start a flight "cold & dark" and load a flightplan (especially long ones) using the new EFB. You can load/edit the flightplan and send it to the avionics on the fly (pun not intended).
However, in order to make it work, the airplane must be configured to utilize the newer v2 avionics. Luckily, at least for the GNS430/530 it requires a simple edit and there are zero issues (well tested over many weeks now).

You need to replace 2 lines in every PANEL.CFG file located in the "panel" folder and any "panel.<paint>" folders.

For example, the 530 will need to be replaced from:

NavSystems/GPS/WT530/WT530

To:

NavSystems/WTGNSv2/WT530/WT530

Mind the different path.

I was looking for a place to ask about the potential for a 530/430 combo for the TBM (since I have one of each Real Sim Gear unit and not two 530s ) and I stumbled across this topic.

Nick, have you seen this? I'm not someone who uses the stock ATC/flight planner and I'm happy to input routes manually, but given you've been investigating and working on a similar thing for the Starship I thought you might be interested.
