TBM850 in 2024

Hello @Black-Square , thank you for your reply. I actually bought this plane this afternoon and realized too late that it's for MSFS 2020. What you're saying is very reassuring. If I understand you correctly, when SU3 comes out, whether the bugs you have are resolved or not, will you release the plane? Thank you very much for your feedback, have a nice day.

That's the plan, assuming SU3 isn't moved to 2026 (I'm joking... hopefully). There are also workarounds to get the TBM into 2024 right now, but I don't endorse them, because the experience is sub-optimal.

@Black-Square If you tell me that the plane can be released in an official version within 15 days (in Asobo days), I will wait. Good evening and thank you for your feedback.

Just wondering if this update is still contingent on SU3 release? It’s getting hard to wait to get my TBM back in the virtual skies!

It is out, installed fine and had the first couple of flights. Really nice. Looking forward to the C208 and other similar products from Black Square.

I just installed the updated TBM with the new installer from the JF website. I deleted my 2020 port over and installed clean, I am sitting in the aircraft on the ramp and do not have switch sounds nor engine sounds.
I still have the default Asobo TBM 930 installed in my community folder as well, as this was the fix for the 2020 port over.
How can I fix the missing sounds off the new installer?

This is probably the issue. Try removing any "fixes" for the unofficial 2020 port, and make sure the default 2024 TBM is installed. Let me know how that goes, please.

@Black-Square This resolved the issue! Thank you.

Hats off to Black Square for supporting this aircraft in MSFS 2024 for those of us that bought the original. If I’m honest I wasn’t expecting such an extensive list of improvements/ additions, I’m even going to say I wasn’t even sure it would make it over to ‘24. Fantastic Developer who will definitely have my support and purchases in the future, there are some big name developers that should really take note on this great customer service

@TonyDarkZero Thank you for the appreciation. It's been nice to hear today with the TBM update, because all the free updates can seem quite thankless, as I'm sure you can imagine. It was brought to my attention this morning that v1.3 of the TBM may not have actually been released on all platforms many months ago. Perhaps someone will enlighten me here, since I'm not actually sure. I thought I would post the 1.3 changelog (they are always at the end of the manuals), just for the sake of completeness. I know it can be satisfying to see that one little thing that bothered you fixed in an update.
v1.3 - Marketplace Update
New Features:
● Upgraded KNS-80 RNAV, and KR87 ADF push button interactions to conform to latest Black Square standards.
● Added optional PMS50 GTN 750 configuration for go-around nose-up angle, which will now match the 8° pitch-up commanded by the other autopilot systems.
● Added headphone cable visual model and clickspots in preparation for custom soundset at a later date.Bug Fixes:
● The tablet “Load with Covers & Chocks Deployed” option had no effect in v1.2.
● The tablet payload page’s maximum allowable weights have been corrected, and the manual updated with more specific loading information for the nose storage compartment. The center of gravity envelope display on the tablet payload page has also been corrected accordingly.
● It was possible in v1.2 for the primary Working Title GNS 530 to load incorrectly if selected at the beginning of a flight (via state saving) that would render the autopilot mode indications inoperable.
● KNS-81 output L:Var values for hardware interfaces only updated when there was a valid VOR signal being received.
● Several instances of information relevant to operation of the Black Square Turbine Duke were removed from the manual.
● Improved colors of EFS40 EHSI pointer needles for clarity.
● Rearranged After Starting Engine checklist so bleed air valve would be open before attempting to check deicing boot inflation.
● Ground effect slightly reduced for more assertive on-speed landings.
● Improved gas generator behavior at high power settings.
