I have just tried to install the 2024 version of the TBM850 but get a File error message saying it can't find the correct path to install, but there is no way to correct the path , the only options I get are Abort, Retry or Ignore. My MSFS installation is completely default.

Same here, downloaded the ZIP again, then it has worked.
However, now I do not have any sounds of switches etc.
(solution: I have had disabled the default Asobo TBM, therefore I had no sounds. Works now)

I also have an Asobo_TBM930 folder in my community folder in the Blacksquare addon folder after the installation, what I find a bit odd, as I thought, we get new sounds.

Similar issue, redownload made no difference. My community folder has been moved but I created a community folder where it seemed to want one but the install still fails. My installation is on a separate drive and not default.

@Guenseli Nick posted elsewhere the new sound pack isn't ready, I don't think it's even started yet.

I was guessing the sounds were packaged in, are there additional steps you need to install in 24? I never bothered trying the workarounds to use it previously so I don't have a copy of the 2020 TBM9 laying around.

@jmarkows No, no additional tasks are necessary. Just install.

@Guenseli Doesn’t work for me. Files are in folder, but no engine sound. 😞 I’ve just install it via installer

Got mine to install after I created a bksq-aircraft-tbm850 folder inside my community folder.

For me the installer put the plane in C:\Users\rbrin\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\Packages\Community, I have no idea why or why that folder is even there. It's empty. There is a similar folder for 2020 which does have files in it.
I moved it to the proper default Community folder C:\Users\rbrin\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community and all is working.

Got the installer to work, at last.

I had the MSFS2020 version in my Addons Linker folder but not activated but somehow it was still showing up as a link in my community folder. I deleted the link then the MSFS2024 version loaded normally
