The Starship is encountering issues in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

Hello, thank you for your reply. I’m unable to post the video as I don’t have sufficient permissions. After entering the flight, both engines started to lose power. The No. 1 engine’s RPM dropped to over 600, and then the No. 2 engine failed. Additionally, if I choose to spawn on the apron and start the engines myself, the RPM is also only a little over 600, just like when I spawn on the runway. I have also cleared all other plugins in the Community folder, but it didn’t change anything. Then I tried on another device. After installation and entering the game, there were no engine issues, but the aircraft would lose power after a while.

I have already contact JF support.

The "lose power after a while" has me wondering if you were observing the limitations of the engines. It's possible that some of the other issues you describe are also the result of catastrophic engine damage. Have you tried repairing the engines from the engine visualizer pages of the tablet interface?

I’m sorry, I might have made a mistake. The issue is that after switching from the internal view to the external view and then back to the internal view, the avionics system doesn’t work and the screen goes black. I need to turn on the alternator again, but the same thing happens after a while.

Hey, last night I had this generator issue as well. What happened was user error: I forgot to switch the left engine Iginiton/Start back to off once the engine started.

Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out regarding an ongoing problem with the Starship’s engines, which remains unresolved despite my efforts. I’ve already contacted Just Flight’s email support but unfortunately haven’t received any response so far.
I was really excited about the Starship add-on, but this engine issue is severely impacting my experience. Here’s what I’ve tried to troubleshoot:
• Ensured both Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and the Starship add-on are fully updated.
• Double-checked all in-game settings and configurations—nothing appears out of the ordinary.
• Uninstalled and reinstalled the Starship add-on, but the issue persists.
• Tested by clearing other plugins from the Community folder, yet the problem remains.Interestingly, when I tested the add-on on another device, the engine worked, but I encountered a generator issue instead. This suggests the problem is localized to my setup. I have used JF’s add-ons before, so I don’t think there should be any problem with the installation unless there has been some change. So I suspect it might be related to other plugins or software conflicts—though I’ve done my best to rule this out.
After reviewing gameplay videos from other users, I noticed their aircraft behaves differently, confirming the issue is specific to my system. Despite exhausting all troubleshooting steps, I’m still stuck, which is incredibly frustrating.
I’d greatly appreciate any assistance to resolve this promptly so I can enjoy the add-on as intended. If a fix isn’t feasible, I’d like to explore the possibility of a refund or replacement. I understand your team is busy, but this matter is important to me.
Thank you for your time and support—I’m hopeful for a positive resolution soon.

I think the most helpful thing for me at this point would be a video from when the aircraft loads to when the engines fail, including the engine instrumentation and the tablet's engine health bar. With a video in hand, I will hopefully be able to see something that might lead me to the cause, even if it doesn't seem obvious to the end-user.

I've seen what he's describing several times, and I wasn't sure what I was doing wrong. I start up the engines, setup the flight, set off to taxi, and then both generators fail and I have to restart the engines and reset the generators. Assuming it's me doing something wrong, I'm wondering if it's me forgetting to turn off the starters. I swear I'm used to doing that by now, but I've still seen the issue on my last couple of flights. I'm not sure if there are multiple conditions that could cause both generators to turn off after a short time, if you can think of any other user error let me know.
EDIT: it just happened again, I definitely flipped ENGINE START to OFF on both engines before I lost the generators. I was doing a quick start though, didn't follow the full checklist. For instance I started both engines at once. Will try again sticking closer to the checklist.
EDIT 2: happened again, this time I followed the checklist...

Here's a video of it happening:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_pZK4aFXHgLet me know if you can see what's wrong. It happened again after trying to restart the engines, then I restarted the flight at least twice and it's still happening.

Thanks for the video. Always supremely helpful.
I have two thoughts from this:
Do you have the engine damage setting in the simulator's menu enabled? that should be fine, and is actually required for catastrophic failures, but it's possible I missed something.
I think the more likely scenario is a binding issue. Do you have some hardware that could be setting a condition lever or fuel valve event?

I do have engine damage enabled. The engines were at 97%, I repaired them and it still happened. I show the Failures tablet screen in the video in case it helps.
I have a binding for the condition lever, it's very unlikely that it got tripped because it's a sturdy little knob that I don't touch by accident when this happens. However, I will unbind it and see if I get this again. I tried moving it on purpose and indeed it cuts the fuel off, maybe some vibration trips it.
I want to add that after a few failures like this and restarting the flight, I existed to the main screen, started the flight again, and the issue didn't happen. I'll see how it goes with my condition lever binding removed.
