V1.1.2 2024 Install
-
We do not recommend manually copying across our MSFS 2020 product into MSFS 2024 and we can't offer any support for our MSFS 2020 products copied directly over to MSFS 2024. Each of our MSFS 2020 products will be receiving free-of-charge compatibility updates to make them MSFS 2024 compatible. See: https://www.justflight.com/articles/more-information-about-just-flight-aircraft-in-msfs-2024
The recently released v1.2 update to the RJ Professional does add MSFS 2024 compatibility and includes two separate installers, one for the MSFS 2020 version and one for the MSFS 2024 version. Running the relevant installer will install the product into the correct simulator.

Getting this error when trying to install the 2024 version, and yes I unchecked "Encrypt..." on the 2024 community folder, as I'm using addon linker and it was a giant pain moving things in and out of there. Not sure why it's necessary to encrypt the community folder anyway. But can you please remove that check from the installer and just copy the files over if the folder isn't encrypted.

@Rich I did the 2024 install and it does not show up in sim or my 2024 Community folder. What is the location of the install for 2024 Microsoft version.
Installed the 2020 and the manifest shows "package_version": "0.1.1",
Going uninstall. Hopefuly you can help me with this.

@rbringh What version of MSFS2024 are you using (i.e. Steam, XBox Store, etc...) and have you moved your Community folder by any chance?
We just had a customer on Support who had moved the Community folder to another drive, using the option in MSFS2024's settings, which had then reverted back to the default path on C, resulting in an installation error.
-
@rbringh That looks like it should be fine. Can you raise a support ticket please, so we can see whether we can work out where it's hidden itself?
The other thing you could try is looking for your UserCfg.opt file, which should specify (usually at the bottom of the file, which can be opened using Notepad or another text editor) where the sim thinks Community is. It doesn't look like that's what the issue here is, but it's worth checking.
Thanks.

@Ian-P Well until we can resolve the installer issue I put a copy of it from 2020.
Which brings me to another question, when I updated the 2020 version using the 2020 installer, looking at the manifest in the RJ folder it shows...did this just not get updated?

I haven't actually updated my own 2020 install yet, I'm ashamed to say, and I'll have to defer to someone else to answer that one.
I'll add it to your support ticket as a note and ask the development team to comment, through that, if no-one can answer it here.
