Shutting Off Radio Master Switch with GPU Connected Causes GPU to be Removed (Intermittent)
-
After arriving at a destination, I connected the GPU switched over to it as a power source, and proceeded to shutdown the aircraft. (I realise that order of operations isn't likely to be realistic given the proximity of the power port to the spinning propeller... but I don't know)
Anyway, once the engine was shutdown, I shutoff the Radio Master switch. This resulted in a surprising total power loss. When I checked, I noticed the GPU unit was gone.
I reconnected it, and attempted to cycle the Radio Master switch, but I could not replicate the issue. The second time around, the GPU stayed connected.

I suspect this is related to the long standing bug where the simulator tries to "reset" some things about the aircraft's state when the avionics master switch is turned off. There is also a noticeable stutter, and the simulator used to open the "end flight" dialog by default. I think it will still open the fuel/payload panel if you shut down in proximity to a fuel pump. I'll try to reproduce this later to see if I'm right.

That may well be. However, it is worth noting that prior to this update, to my knowledge, the TBM did not produce this specific behaviour.
If the avionics were shutdown after transferring to GPU power (before there was a cart), the power would not be disconnected and gauges like the primary engine instruments would remain on.
Before I turned it off, with extreme prejudice, I recall that the annoying "end flight" dialog box would generally appear at engine shutdown/mixture cutoff. My father, who has not removed that dialog box, saw it appear tonight immediately upon setting the TBM's condition lever to cutoff. Unfortunately, he had already powered down his avionics a minute or two prior, so we could not test the GPU issue.
