The RNAV CDI is disassociated with the normal CDI in the HSI only on the King Air. Is there a way to assign this function to a knob on my controller? Or is there a way to associate its function with the normal CDI as in the other Black Square Analog aircraft so my hardware will set the CDI?

If I understand correctly what you're looking for, all you should need to set the RNAV course with your hardware is the L:Var "L:var_RNAV_OBS" (0-360). If you are looking to have both the NAV 1 course and the RNAV course match, I can code a custom solution for you that you can insert into the King Air's code. Let me know if that answers your question. Always happy to help.

That will work for a dedicated knob. I am very interested in the custom code and am comfortable putting it in, having the course knob work as it normally does in all other aircraft is preferable.

    Thank you.

BTW I would pay to have the King Air with a KLN90B and KNS81 stack where the KNS80 presently resides.

It worked. I was surprised to discover that this code will control the OBS in all modes, NAV, GPS, and RNAV. You just get the independent setting of the OBS when you switch between RNAV and normal modes (unlike the other Black Square aircraft). Now I have to test to make sure it doesn't lose the sync with any of the modes.
