SU15 out? What do we need to do?
-
It is out - currently grinding through the content manager part of the install.
-
Ok I see the suggestion to re-install the duke after SU15 is installed. I've made changes to aircraft.cfg and panel.cfg with regard to registration number so I guess I'll have to do that again, or save those files and copy them back.
There's a panel.cfg for each livery.https://www.justflight.com/articles/black-square-msfs-dukes-important-notes-about-the-aircraft

ugh - did not read that before loading. Sigh will exit again and re-install - hope it doesn't bork my views. The main thing I want is the ground handling and this doc isn't crystal clear about that but will re-install to be as safe as I can
-
ok - loading for the 6th time today after re-installing..... Fingers crossed

You only need to reinstall if you did not select SU15 when installing the first time.
-
I did not have SU15 until 10 minutes ago.... at least the full screen switch during load is resolved

I do not use WT gns 530/430. Am I still required to rerun the installer? And if I do decide to rerun the installer, is a full uninstall followed by reinstall required?
Thanks -
Here's what Black Square's note says:
"When SU15 is released, you can simply re-run the installer, click "Yes", and enjoy the WT GNS without waiting for a product update. For experienced users, these instructions can be used to patch the WT GNS without installing SU15 Beta."

I was worried my Hobbs Gauge would reset but it didn't! I like the ground handling improvements too.

@Randolf Hello, I would just like to confirm something. When the Dukes were initially released prior to SU 15, I did the recommended patch in order to operate the WT G530/G430 using SU 14. I then selected "Yes" to the question of "...are you operating the SU 15 Beta" as recommended by BS.
Since yesterday's official SU 15 release, the question is do I still need to re-run the installer to also take advantage of the improved ground handling or am I good without doing anything further?
If I should re-run the installer, should that be delete & reinstall or just installer re-run over the top?
Many thanks.

@Les-Parson hi, your question sounded like you were asking me for official statement, just to clarify, I'm not in any way involved with JustFlight or any addon development for that matter. Or, sorry if I just misunderstood your post :)
So in my opinion, based on my understanding of this official statement, if you have already selected yes to the SU15 question when installing the Duke, whether or not you were on SU15 beta at the time, you don't need to do any reinstall now.
If you have answered no when installing the last time, you should do a reinstall now, and answer yes. -
Thanks for the response. I didn't think of it as an official response request but your opinion (s) sound quite reasonable. Thanks again.

So... I don't have SU15 yet, so what is the general opinion of those that do have it? Your answers could help me sleep more soundly tonight :-)
A bit like Christmas eve actually.
