WTT-Internal add-on for PMS50 GTN750
-
Just wanted to highlight how critical the additional WTT add-on is for anyone using the PMS50 GTN750. The stock navigational code is pretty much inadequate for IFR flying, and after reading the Bonanza manual several times, I did not see the WTT add-on highlighted in the manner that I would suggest that it should be.
Examples:
-
depart KSNA (Orange County) on the TEC route southward to KCRQ (Palomar), joining V23 after a takeoff vector. HDG mode, active the appropriate leg on V23 for the intercept, hit NAV and it intercepts automatically
-
Vectors to Final is the prevalent ATC method to join a localizer or GPS based final approach course.
Both of the above are some (not all) of the essential elements of the GTN750 that require the Working Title WTT add-on which then enables WTT - Internal mode.
Just taking a few minutes to suggest adding this add-on as a highlight in the manual. After spending a lot of time struggling to find out why I was not seeing either of the above things as options, I finally found the additional add-on in the PMS50 documentation.

What is a Working Title WTT?
What does WTT stand for? I've never seen it available for download. -
@unhinged_aviator He's referring to downloads for the PMS GTN750 to allow the autopilot to use Working Title Technology (WTT). You can find said addons off the PMS50.com main page, at the link below. You will note all of the BlackSquare aircraft at present have a WTT add-on. There is lots of company as well from A2A, SWS, and Blackbird. I can't speak to exactly what WTT is or does. My assumption is that it adds, or perhaps enables full autopilot support for the GTN650/750 with all autopilot functions in those respective aircraft modules.

@t5s_blanco From the text file in the package ...
"WTT mode stands for Working Title Technology. This is a software layer that completely replaces
the stock sim autopilot and GPS management. it provides many features not available with the
stock modules. The Working Title Technology is the same as the one used in the WT G1000 Nxi Mod."I believe the word Mod at the end there can be omitted today, it just means it implements all the autopilot functionality for the 650/750 that the G1000Nxi has. I imagine this means holds and other LNAV/VNAV things the Nxi can do that the stock sim autopilot could not.
Also - I neglected to mention, the WTT files just get placed in the community folder along with the associated add on aircraft. No other file overwrites or other such oddness.
And as a community service, if you happen to wonder if the version you have installed of the WTT mod to the PMS GTNs is matching the latest available, just look at the manifest.json file in the mod folder. Version number is right there.

Thanks for the explanation.
So if I didn't previously have the WTT package for my Analog Caravan, the PMS 750 wasn't fully functional?
