Avionics Master to OFF Resets Flight.
-
To expand on my previous post...
I've tested this repeatedly and this is what happens...
- Enter cold aircraft - start engine and power everything up
- Stop engine and power everything down, then, Avionics Master to off. No problem.
Then...
- Same as step one above
- Fly somewhere, land, taxy to ramp.
- Parking brake on, power everything off except avionics master. Open doors, set chocks in. All fine.
- Avionics Master - OFF - Boom! the following happens:
Doors instantly are closed, even with steps still deployed
Gyro and other sounds stop
Chocks disappear
GSX Initializes as if starting into a new flight from the MAP UI
Flo initializes as if starting into a new flight from the MAP UI
Everything resets. This is really annoying. If you are here Mr Developer, please help!
Thanks :-)

Thanks for the information. I meant to reply to your other post about this, but your new information confirms my suspicion. This is related to the "end flight" sequence in the simulator that used to open your logbook at the conclusion of every flight. Asobo thought that checking whether there was power on the avionics bus would be a good way to see when you've completed your flight. There is a menu option now to prevent the logbook from opening, but you can still see the simulator hiccup for a minute when you turn off the avionics, so there is still something going on in the background. From your description, I suspect it is essentially reloading the aircraft with the "apon.flt" flight configuration settings. This causes my code to reload and reset all those features.
I've never seen this, nor heard about it happening, so unfortunately, I don't have any suggestions. Perhaps it's GSX, Flow, or some other addon that's causing the aircraft to be reloaded? I think it would be worth at least one attempt without those addons installed, if you haven't already.

Hi, @Black-Square
Thanks for your detailed reply.
I have tried the same scenario following the removal of both GSX and FloPro but the problem persists. The workaround for the time being appears to be shutting off the Avionics Master switch BEFORE engine shutdown. When I carry it out in that sequence, everything behaves as normal. Not ideal but better than the alternative!
Are you going to continue investigating this as it would be nice to have it functioning as it should? :-)
Best wishes,
Luke

Thanks for the extra note. That's usually how I shut down the aircraft following the checklists, which might explain why I haven't seen this; however, I would expect that you aren't the first one to have shut down the aircraft with the engine first and avionics second. I'll look into it more today, but it's very unlikely that this has anything to do with how I've implemented my aircraft. I'll let you know if I can detect anything.

@Black-Square Ah no... I spoke too soon...
I have just completed a 1 hour flight and turned off the Av Master before engine shut down. Everything was fine until I shut down the engine, then the old problem returned. So, it's not specific to the Avionics Master after all. When I shut down the engine the only things left turned on in the aircraft were the battery and generator.
Referencing your last note, it seems that whatever is the last or nearly last action performed at the end of a flight, is what triggers the reset, regardless of the order. Either way, it's really putting a road block up regarding my enjoyment of this aircraft.
I hope you can sort this out.
Best wishes,
Luke
