    I assume that this aircraft is not designed to be started by pressing CTRL-e, at least it does not start when I try it...but can this behavior be changed?

    Straight from the dev for you...

    No guarantees on this one. Ctrl-E has no concept of the underlying systems or different procedures required to start the engine during any possible conditions that may occur, which are very numerous. I have heard of people successfully starting the aircraft with Ctrl-E, though. Just make sure the engine is not flooded, and the mixture lever is forward. That may work well.
