No traffic at arrival airport

@amphage said in No traffic at arrival airport:
@derek I find it really hard to believe this NEVER came up in beta testing. There are ton of people with this problem. Look at the official MSFS forums: there are mostly people just having problems. It doesn't work for a huge chunk of people.
But, the problem isn't present for the vast majority of users. There are a 'huge chunk' of copies out there and if this affects, say, 5% of them, that will be a lot (a ton) of people but a small percentage - hence why we would reiterate, please contact support and help us to get to the bottom of the issue.
-
@derek how exactly would it help by you telling us how extensively tested it was and provided no solution it can just frustrate you, even more, knowing how much testing it went through and there are that many bugs and issues. I'm not trying to be offensive or any of that sort but not even one solution has been given or some type of troubleshooting.

I was replying to: "Sorry but this was no where near ready for release. Pretty disappointed at the moment.."
but not even one solution has been given or some type of troubleshooting.
As I've tried to explain elsewhere, we don't do support via forum, but John did post this in the thread:
Hi all. Sorry to hear about the issues with arrival airport traffic. A few things to check.
If you entered the destination using in game panel then make sure you click the confirm button. Sounds a bit obvious but a few times I have clicked return on the keyboard instead of confirm. We’ll look at improving this going forward.
If you set up a destination using the MSFS flight planner or using an FMS that interacts with the MSFS flight planning system, make sure to open the in game panel for at least 10 seconds to allow FS Traffic to detect your destination.
If you follow the above steps and still have no destination traffic then other issues could be at play, the support team will be happy to help.
As he says, if you have this issue and this sort of thing doesn't help: https://support.justflight.com/support/solutions/articles/17000131083-why-am-i-not-seeing-any-traffic-generated-at-my-arrival-airport- then please get in touch with Support by raising a ticket and we will try to get to the bottom of it.

So to add to the frustration I did two more flights and had problems both times. Flight 2 KORD - KDCA, first no aircraft at all at ORD, exit and load again no planes still. Closed MSFS and restarted then I got traffic at KORD and it worked with traffic also at KDCA on arrival. Flight 3 KFAT - MMGL, no planes at KFAT, no planes at MMGL. It is clear that the regenerate traffic button is not working. Please fix this issue ASAP, it's clearly affecting tons of users and I never had these issues on freeware FSLTL, was honestly expecting better quality from you guys....

I have the same exact issue, no traffic at the destination airport. I've tried everything suggested, even turned off airport ground traffic.
Seems like we're getting the run around and getting bamboozled by claiming this product was "extensively" tested and this issue only impacts a small number of users. Are you kidding me? What in the heck is the point of spending $50 for a product that gives you AI traffic at ONE AIRPORT??? If this issue isn't resolved in the coming days via a hotfix I'll be doing a chargeback with PayPal. If that doesn't work, I'll call my credit card company and file a chargeback. No way am I going to be out $50 for a piece of software that is operating at 50%.

Hello all. I'm one of the devs for FS Traffic.
We are looking into this issue as a priority for a hotfix which will be release as soon as we can. The reason for us to keep banging on about contacting support is so that they can gather the information we need to determine the cause(s). The problem with this sort of thing is that there may not be one single simple reason for traffic failing to spawn at the destination.

I made a flight from EKBI (Billund, Denmark) to EKCH (Copenhagen, Denmark) in the PMDG 737-600.
I typed in EKCH and pressed "Confirm", but when I arrived at EKCH, there was no Traffic.
The trip is appr. 120 nm great circle line from EKBI to EKCH.
So far I have returned to FSTL...

Hello all.
Last night I did a very short checkride with PMDG 737-700 from KMIA to KFLL (both LatinVFR).
Time: Monday approx. 13:00 local time KMIA.
Traffic at KMIA, arrivals and departures, everything fine and smooth. I could even use GSX Pro!
After 45 minutes takeoff to KFLL. I confirmed several times my destination in the toolbar.
When I arrived at KFLL, I had very few traffic there (4 planes). More arrived, but no departures! :-(- the module itself is very unstable
- most of the time no traffic on the second, 3rd ... flight
- restarting the sim every time for additional flights is ridiculous
- no feedback in toolbar, when module is crashed
- no option to restart module without restarting the sim
- traffic and timetable don't fit
- no arrival-timetable in Traffic Control Centre
- map in routeplaner is not working
- ...
At the moment I'm (very) disappointed!
It was way easier for me to get AIG running, not to speak of FSTL!!
The only thing I wanted to have is nice and easy offline-traffic :-(Thank you and regards, Stefan

Just did a flight from London City to Heathrow......at takeoff, there was some aircraft parked...as I expected....I set my level of aircraft in the sim to be at 10 percent....with 100% of air traffic to be generated. Upon arrival 10 minutes later at Heathrow...there were no aircraft present....and I did make sure that Heathrow was correctly entered in the FS Traffic utility menue....and I confirmed its presence before I took off.
I find that the product works OK with the MSFS 2020 AI Traffic on line engaged....However, I am failing to see the tire smoke effect when twin engines land??...Not sure if this is a bug when using the online AI traffic within the simulator.
Overall, I hope that Just Flight expedites resolving the key issues...for me they include, waiting forever for traffic to back up from the gate and take off. ....as well as the lack of traffic at the arriving airport.
I hope that the developers ensure that all the special effects are operational....and increase the sound of outside traffic when one is in the cockpit.
Lastly, when flying on line within the simulator's AI traffic, i make sure to have generic traffic OFF in the traffic settings. This seems to help....and I hope Just Flight clarifies the correct settings for Traffic when one chooses to fly with the On Line AI Traffic settings provided by Osobo.
Hope to see and update soon....and I do agree with others....that as an early purchaser I would have expected these issues among others to have been caught in Beta testing.

Just tried the updated version. Still not working for me and it seems worst now i only get traffic on and off at the departure airport and if i see any parked aircrafts, its much less than what i had before.
I also noticed some aircrafts appear to be "invisible" as i can see the gates moving but no visiable aircraft.

Just tried the new update. Flying from KFLL to KMIA.
Traffic when I am taking off and in the air en route.
No traffic when I arrive. Even waited 5 minutes...and did a traffic regeneration, per the menu in game....but no aircraft shows up at KMIA.Per the change log.......does not seem that this update was intended to solve this problem?

@cadum I have the same issue. Beyond fed up with the lies the developers keep feeding us. There's serious issues and this software should have never been released. I will likely file a dispute with PayPal for a refund. If that doesn't work I will do a chargeback.

@johng1
I did another flight...this time from one Australian airport to another. This time I waited till I was en route to my destination before inputting by destination airport code.
To my surprise traffic appeared at my arrival airport as well as a good number of parked aircraft...my initial conclusion is that we need to be reasonably into our route before input of the arrival airport codeI was doing it on the runway as part of takeoff procedure...so..I will test more to see if this is the reason for having had no traffic upon arrival.

@cadum I've been getting traffic and putting in my destination during pre-flight. What I've witnessed with little nav map is that roughly 70-80 miles out FS Traffic will start injecting additional traffic specific to my destination airborne. Once I'm roughly 20-30 miles out it injects the parked ground traffic. So far this has been pretty consistent across the 4 flights I've taken today - though all of them have been 2 to 2.5 hours each.
I know they've commented that they wait until you get airborne and away from scenery etc to do processing - so it wouldn't surprise me if people still having issues may get some success by "kicking" it while at altitude.

@chanjkhk I seem to remember a comment somewhere from a dev that also said they don't generate traffic until you hit greater than 250 knots and 5000 feet, or something like that. So maybe the times you've seen traffic you've hit those milestones for the system? So if you are in something slower than a jet it might cause issues currently.

I've tried what's suggested above and still have no traffic. I've tried flying from KSEA to CYVR, nothing. I also used "slew" and increase my sim rate on a long haul flight, nothing. I've never had issues with FSLTL spawning AI traffic at the arrival airport so it makes no sense to jump through hoops to get AI to work properly. I also noticed the AI that is spawn during flight is just contrails, no AI plane. What a mess.
