@Derek said in What can we expect in the next update?:

Yes, GA is still planned - it will be an expansion for the base pack. Being worked on and probably due out in early 2024.

Awesome. Thank you for the quick reply!

Have you contacted Just Flight support? Traffic has been out for nearly a year now. It has been our best selling title for MSFS and works as intended. If you need support for any of our titles (or those we publish for others) just ask and we will respond.

I must be going nuts or it's something to do with the layering in FS. I put the 3 navigraph folders back in and restarted FS at EBBR and there was plenty of traffic

@hunterdouglas Small airports generally don't handle AI traffic well due to the reasons you stated. I've done a lot of airport scenery development in the Bahamas where most airports consist of one runway and an exit to an apron area. It took a lot of taxi path configuration on the runways to get AI to act somewhat normally at these airports. It also was necessary to add control tower and ground control frequencies to these uncontrolled airports. After all that, AI still runs off the end of the runway after landing and loops around back onto the runway to then act normal. AI Flow and AI Ground applications also help. Small controlled airports with taxiways connecting runway ends with aprons should not be a problem unless they lack parking spaces or proper linkage to parking. The settings in FS Traffic can take care of inadequate parking space sizes.

@Mark Thanks for the reply. As indicated in the edit to my post, I find the arrivals at larger airports (MYNN is the example) to be reasonably accurate though I realize this is probably not comparable to the larger airports you must be referencing. On the other hand, is all this fancy coding having a detrimental affect on small airports? Why would arrival time be delayed at an airport with few daily arrivals? A list of examples follows:

    MYNN - Saturday
    Southwest 1867 Arrival scheduled 12:05, Landed 11:48, -12 minutes
    American 1428 Arrival scheduled 12:08, Landed 11:54, -14 minutes
    Delta 1907 Arrival scheduled 12:13, Landed 12:00, -13 minutes
    American 2877 Arrival scheduled 12:30, Landed 12:05, -25 minutes
    Virgin 107 Arrival scheduled 12:50, Landed 12:13. -37 minutes

    MYAM - Saturday
    American 3443 Arrival scheduled 12:01, Landed 13:09, +68 minutes
    Western 604 Arrival scheduled 13:00, Landed 13:41, +41 minutes

MYAN - Tuesday (schedule by User)
    Makers 101 Arrival scheduled 10:00, Landed 11:37, +97 minutes
    Makers 301 Arrival scheduled 11:00, Landed 12:18, +78 minutes

I realize that FS Traffic is only intended to add realistic looking aircraft activity at the user's departure and arrival airports for a short period of time, and accuracy may not be important. Separately scheduled departures and arrivals results in duplicated parked aircraft, perhaps enhancing the experience at large airports with lots of parking spaces. The FS Traffic methods just don't work very well for me at small airports.

I also had the same problem after I purchased and installed it yesterday. I have applied for support through email, hoping that justflight can give me a direct solution suggestion

I’ve started to get this issue, did anyone figure out how to correct it in the end?

@captainlovepony said in Can jf devs speed up the traffic injector its very slow:

@art_p Can you explain why the world map slider is imprecise? Thanks

What I meant was that you can't move it in one minute increments to get an exact starting time. The closest I could get to 1:30 was 1:27 or 1:31, and like I said, 1:30 would probably have resulted in the 13:30 departures not happening anyway.

FS Traffic starts a departure on the exact second, and if that second is missed, nothing will happen. That's why at a sim rate of 2 there is only a 50% chance of a departure happening.

@jf-john All good mate, thanks for your time, don't bust a gut, it's just a sim, but whenever you get around to it, it's all good.
