BAE 146 Pro Install MSFS 2024 Naming Convention Problem
-
The operative file in both the 2020 and 2024 downloads from the JF site is named "Justflight-aircraft 146". This caused me some problems. As a user of Add-Ons Linker, I renamed the 2024 version of the 146 to "Justflight-aircraft 146-2024" to avoid duplication in Add-Ons Linker and to distinguish the two versions. Seems the name change resulted in the "License invalid" message in the aircraft EFB. I had to restore the file name to "Justflight-aircraft 146" and re-arrange my subdirectories in Add-Ons Linker for everything to work properly.
REQUEST: How about naming the two versions in a way that clarifies which case we're dealing with. Using the same name for both seems uninspired.

We have no plans to change the package names of any of our products. It is an SDK requirement to have the package names identical across MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 products, and it is particularly important for in-game marketplace products to ensure that we can offer a free-of-charge upgrade path between 2020 and 2024 versions. If the package names were to differ between the simulators, then the marketplace would consider them as two separate, unrelated products and require a full price purchase in both simulators.
