Right now there are few liveries for US operators for the RJ. But the 146 had several and is now in 2024. Is it possible to port some of these (PSA, AirCal, USAir, etc.) to the RJ somehow?

The 146 and RJ share the same paintkit for the exterior textures, so it will be possible to create a livery package for the RJ using textures from the 146 liveries (and vice-versa). There are no plans to do this on our side, however, you are welcome to create a livery package for the RJ using some of the 146 textures.

Does anybody have instructions on how to do this? I'd not a painter, but feel if it's relatively straight forward could figure out the process with some guidance.

All we could suggest for this is to either use an existing livery package as a template, or follow the SDK documentation for creating a livery package (the latter of which is quite a complex and convoluted method).

We create all of our liveries within the Project Editor in the simulator using the SDK documentation, so unfortunately, we don't have any experience creating liveries for MSFS 2020/2024 outside of that or the tips/tricks required. Hopefully, someone with more experience with creating third-party repaints can chip in to assist with that.
