    Hello there!

I'm a big fan of the F28 since it was used here in my country (Argentina), together with the F27, to connect several remote cities in the south and Patagonia region. I still haven't bought the plane since it's a lot of money for us, so I'm asking a couple of simmers for some details.

The variant used by the argentinian air force and by its civil airline, LADE (Lรญneas Aereas del Estado), is the one with the Garmin 430. Since I generally prefer to fly at night, I pay particular attention to night cockpit lighting and instruments. Apparently the Garmin 430, when flying at night, goes almost completely dark. Is there a fix or is it a known bug?

    Thanks in advance!
    Seb

I've just loaded into a flight in the F28 at night, and the GPS430 is the expected brightness level (see attached screenshot).

Argentina is a great place to fly the F28! I've spent quite a bit of time flying all the LADE routes, as most of them can still be flown using VOR navigation.

Thanks a lot Mark for the prompt reply! Is that msfs 2020 or 2024? I suspect the report I had was from someone using the F28 in msfs 2024.

And yes, the majority of VOR stations are still working, quite amazingly. I usually practice a lot of VOR navigation, and I have to be honest, I'm very eager to try the F28. Just have to make some numbers and convince the wife (happy wife happy life ๐Ÿ˜ƒ )

The above screenshot was taken in 2024.

If you do end up picking up the F28, the following website has the LADE 1981 and 2005 timetables:

          Best of luck ๐Ÿ˜…
