    Hi
I sm connecting controls and instruments from my King Air simulator, but have trouble finding the Var for Cabin Alt.

I have found for the Rate knob, but have not succeded with the Cabin Alt knob, I have tried different things, for instance K:PRESSURIZATION_CABIN_ALTITUDE_SET, but without luck.

I think you want what's called the "Pressurization Goal Knob" L:var_pressurizationGoal. Looks like the number you set is the desired cabin alt from -1000 to +15000. It's on p. 134 of the manual.

I'm so sorry, I saw you said you were using parts from your King Air simulator but I had been browsing the TBM forums before finding this and so I was thinking TBM in my head.

I don't see a similar list of Lvars in the King Air Overhaul manual. One of the XML or CFG files in the community folder usually lists out/defines the Lvars, if you're feeling adventurous you might try browsing those or using your third party software of choice to list out the Lvars.

If it was something you could bind with the stock sim/k vars, I would think you would have found it already.

EDIT: since it was born as a fancy King Air, I also took the liberty of checking the Starship manual, but it lists the same Lvar and range as the TBM one, L:var_pressurizationGoal. That would likely be setting the value directly, though. How does that hardware switch work? Maybe you want L:var_pressurizationGoal_Inc or _Dec, I believe some/all of those variables have increase and decrease commands set to _Inc/_Dec.

The control on my hardware (a real King Air instrument) is a potmeter.

Thanks for your help so far 🙂

I used the default MSFS pressurization events (despite implementing my own pressurization system) in the King Air, while I have since gotten away from this for my other aircraft. These events were broken n MSFS 2024 for a while after release, but I think they work now. You can use K:PRESSURIZATION_PRESSURE_ALT_INC and _DEC. In my other aircraft, you would be able to set this value continuously with the L:Vars noted above. There is a chance that this would still work for the King Air, though I haven’t tried it. You could try setting (A:PRESSURIZATION CABIN ALTITUDE GOAL, FT)

A side note: L:Vars will typically not carry the _Inc/_Dec notation, because they are variables and not events.

Ah, good to know on the _Inc/_Dec. I went looking for the example I had seen on here and it was not an Lvar, true.
