    Hi all.

How do I update the UNS-1 database on the XBOX? I currently have the latest update from February 2024.

    Tks.

Yes, unfortunately, it's not possible to update the nav database on Xbox .

We are looking into some methods to allow Xbox users with a Navigraph subscription to update their navdata in our aircraft. We're not able to provide a timeframe for when that may be available at this stage, but we will be sure to keep everyone updated once we have more to share.

@Mark Hi! Is there a solution yet for updating the UNS-1 database on Xbox? It’s already 2026 and it’s getting tricky to navigate with an outdated database. Any expectations for a fix this year? Best regards!

Nothing further to share on this at the moment. It remains something we would like to add to our aircraft in future updates, but there is no timeframe we would be able to share for that.

You keep saying that for 2 or 3 years... In the mean time, others devs such as inibuilds, pmdg or aerosoft implemented a way to update na data from inside the sim. So it shouldn't be too complicated. But apparently it's clearly not your priority, which is a little bit a shame for products of great quality that I otherwise appreciate. Just tired of hearing the same melody again and again...

Honestly, there’s no point in having an FMS with outdated data. It feels like a promise that's never fulfilled. Imagine if the Fokker 100 is released the same way? I definitely won't be buying it.

Every feature request that gets passed on to us, including the ones listed in this thread, gets logged on our internal feature request trackers. When the time comes for us to start working on an update for one of our products, our development team will analyse all the items logged on our bug and feature request trackers, and then create a scope for that update. With us actively supporting 10 products for MSFS, plus continued working on our in-development products, it unfortunately isn't feasible for us work through the entire feature request every time a product is updated, so naturally, we do have to prioritise bugs/feature requests.

Throughout 2025, the main focus of our development team has been providing free-of-charge updates/upgrades for all 10 of our MSFS products, upgrading them to MSFS 2024 native standard. You can read more about that here: https://www.justflight.com/articles/end-of-year-round-up-2025-part-one

As the main focus of each of these updates was to upgrade the products to MSFS 2024 native status, any MSFS 2024 related work was the highest priority. Feature requests, especially ones regarding changes to the core FMS code, were of lower priority to these updates and therefore fairly minimal.

We never remove bugs or feature requests from our internal trackers until they are fixed or completed, so rest assured, the requests in this thread remain logged, and they will be considered again when we create the scope for future updates. However, as flight sim development is very fluid, we don't provide timescales for when specific bugs or feature requests will be fixed.

If you prefer not to use the UNS-1 FMS in the F28, you can still take full advantage of the two other methods of navigation, which use the default simulators' navdata that is updated free-of-charge every month:

                  • Traditional Navigation using the ADF and VHF NAV radios (configured by disabling the "RNAV OPTIONS" option on the EFB/Tablet)
                  • GNS430 GPS (configured by enabling the "RNAV OPTIONS" option on the EFB/Tablet, and selecting the "GNS 430")

                    • GPS GNS430 (configurado ativando a opção "OPÇÕES RNAV" no EFB/Tablet e selecionando o "GNS 430")

                    Mark - Apenas Voo

I have no doubt about your support, but I believe this should be an even higher priority for the community, especially for those on Xbox (who are always the most affected by the limitations we already know). The 'urgency' in implementing this improvement (database updates via the tablet) is perhaps because other developers, like PMDG for example, implemented this a long time ago without much delay. And it works perfectly on both PC and Xbox. I understand your explanation, but as a customer, I don't feel comfortable having a product that could offer even greater immersion and realism if it weren't for an extremely outdated database. I hope new projects like the A300 have this feature (if you offer the UNS-1 as a navigation option there as well).
