    I think I got it to a happy place.

    If you're not familiar with the MSFS file structure or have never done this before, I discourage it, but if you have you can replace these lines at the end of your warrior flight model file

    flaps-position.0 = 0, -1, 1, 1, 1, 0, 0
    flaps-position.1 = 10, -1, 1, 1, 1, 0, -0.2
    flaps-position.2 = 25, -1, 1, 1, 1, 0, -0.3
    flaps-position.3 = 40, -1, 1, 1, 1, 0, -0.4

    There's no impact to lift or overall handling of the plane other than to give the expected mild nose-up with flaps going down.

      @CdnCptMoustache
      This fix is really helpful and would appreciate if you guided us on the name of the file and where the file is and how you changed this.

      To the Justflight team, this fix is really important. I'm sure everyone is experiencing the same strange behaviour of the flaps causing nose down.

        @roguefoodie It's a file called flight_model.cfg which you'll find buried in the aircraft install folder in Community. The lines to replace are right at the end of the file. Backup the original file somewhere first so you can easily set it back if something goes wrong.

          Dear Just Flight team

          First of all thank you for the amazing addons you are producing as well as the continued support for them! After already owning the Hawk and RJ Series, I‘ve just purchased the Warrior in the Microsoft Marketplace and it feels good and authentic to fly. Especially the behaviour during the landing flare reminds me of how the real aircraft feels. BUT the behaviour of the flaps is indeed wrong/the wrong way round - and I'm sure that nobody (especially with real world flight experience) would ever dispute this. I especially noticed it after takeoff when retracting the flaps from the first notch to the full up position - which made the nose of the aircraft rise considerably - in some cases even leading to a stall be because without trimming, I seemed to lack pitch authority to push the nose down far enough. This is completely the opposite of what both aerodynamic principles say and how a/the real aircraft behaves. The loss of lift when retracting the flaps should make the nose drop, requiring more back pressure on the yoke to maintain pitch attitude followed by a nose up re-trim to remove the need for back pressure on the yoke. And during flap extension, it should be the other way round of course - which unfortunately is also not the case.

          I urge you to correct this as it definitely is a bug and ruins the otherwise outstanding feel and behaviour of this product. As for the workaround provided by CdnCptMoustache, I believe that it won't be possible for people who bought the add-on in the Microsoft Flight Simulator Marketplace to modify the flight_model.cfg due to the encryption.

          Thank you and best regards

          Patrik

            Are there any news about this issue, please? It's sad such an amazing add-on with that bizarre behavior.

                  @Mark Thanks a lot! It would really be appreciated! As of now, my PA28-161 is grounded until this has been fixed. Which is a real shame given that everything else about this product is great 😃

                      An update has been developed and tested. We are currently waiting for the next available release window to deploy it. Whilst we can't provide a specific time frame for when that will be at this stage, we will send out our usual communications as soon as the update is available.
