Click-dragging to turn knobs has annoying acceleration

I use the 'Lock' control scheme as opposed to the legacy style and something I've noticed is that when you click and drag to turn a knob (such as the ones on the gps units or heading / OBS) it will start turning at a certain speed then all of a sudden accelerate to spin/rotate really fast making it REALLY hard to fine tune.

Is there any way to disable this behaviour?

Thanks for the feedback. There isn't a way to disable knob acceleration in our PA28s, but we have added this to our internal feature request tracker as something to consider adding for a future update.
