    Hi there,

Fisrt of all, thanks to the staff, for this update !

I made a livery for the 2020 version. Any chance that it will be working with 2024 ?

As the aircraft is installed by default in the default community, how can I copy any liveries to this directory ?

Is there a paintkit if a brand new livery is needed ?

    Kind regards.

MSFS 2024 uses a different texture format from MSFS 2020 (KTX2 vs. DDS), so unfortunately, liveries created in MSFS 2020 aren't compatible with MSFS 2024 native products.

The paintkit is the same for our PA28s in MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024, but the textures would need to comply with the MSFS 2024 SDK.

I'm still looking for a full tutorial.

That would be great to have one using new textures.

I don' rembr how I did my own texture for MS2020 !

The actual creation of the textures will be the same in MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024, but in MSFS 2020 they need to be exported into .DDS format, and in MSFS 2024 they need to be exported into .KTX2 format. I believe there was a Photoshop plugin to export textures into .DDS format, but I'm not sure if a plugin exists yet to export textures into .KTX2 format.

Unfortunately, it's not something we have much experience with, as all of our packages are built using the simulator's package builder, which converts the textures to the correct formats automatically. Hopefully, some other livery artists will be able to chip in to share their methods.

There is a useful tool that can help you creating ktx2 files for MSFS 2024. You also have to create new js files for each texture. If you are working with dds texture format, you have to convert them to png before starting the prosess. The tool is a script that work with the MSFS 2024 SDK (you will have to have the latest SDK installed) The tool is available here (follow the instructions from the author):image-to-ktx2
