    Hello,

What is the normal landing flaps in commercial operations ? Flaps 42 has very low approach speeds when flying in VATSIM for example.
Is Flaps 25 a normal setting or to be used only in Engine failure or emergency?

    Thanks!
    Jerome

Flaps 42 are the standard landing flap configuration for the F28. The following is an extract from the manual:

"The standard landing configuration is landing gear extended, flaps 42°, speedbrake IN. However, certain combinations of aircraft weight, field elevation and ambient temperature may make this configuration impracticable due to high power settings required to maintain approach speed. In these conditions it is recommended that flaps 25° is used."

    Hope that helps.
