    Hello!

I've been recently playing the WCML expansion that you guys have made and developed for TSW5 (Great expansion, by the way!), and i thought to myself, railroading through-out the twisting tight turns that said route provides...

What if the APT was in the game?

I thought so because the APT was designed to tackle the tilting curves that the WCML is known for! Going up to 125mph+ and aggressively tilting into curves seems incredibly fun to do, if not uncomfortable for the passengers...

    Why?

It seems quite nice for the first Just Trains DLC Loco (that I'm aware of). It's historical, unique and no longer in service, so it seems perfect to allow people to re-live the glorious (if not a bit rough riding) experience of riding this train.

It also featured the C-APT safety system, an ahead-of-its-time on-board signalling system that aided drivers in knowing what their max permitted speed was.

Units were 2 7 car units coupled together, with 2 motor units in the middle of the consist. They had no gangways inside, making passengers unable to cross inbetween them.

It was also known to be very rough riding during its early years, bad press effectively forced British rail to stop using the locomotives after 1986.

Since this route is set in the early 1980's, I think this is within reason to be added. It suits the look, setting of the route and looks quite stunning (in my personal opinion.)

In a couple of words: Historical Prototype, Fresh, Fast and Infamous.

    Possible Challenges:

    -Getting information on it

Its a prototype train that's almost 50 years old, alot of specifications are probably going to be hard to find, especially the C-APT signalling speeds. It isn't helped that out of the 44 vehicles made, only 7 remain. However some museums do have them on display, so contacting them could be a possibility.

    -Player Interest

Alot of people may not be interested in a prototype train, however I may be wrong, I however do not know.

I think that is all. Thank you for reading this and (potentially) considering my suggestion.

That's your answer. The work involved wouldn't justify the lack of return, unfortunately.

    @Derek Unfortunate, but understandable.

    Thanks for answering!

A superb suggestion as these units were in their final days of operation in 1986. I hope this gets serious consideration.
