In FS2020, when spawning a new flight in the RJ in cold conditions, often ice starts visibly forming on the wings/nose/tail/windshield prior to pushback. Often the ice still stays during taxi and even takeoff., even with engine/wing/tail anti-ice running. Does this actually affect flight dynamics, or is it just visual? (It does seem that the windshield heater actually does work.)

I tried using GSX Pro's deicing feature today, but it didn't seem to remove anything, for whatever that's worth.

The RJ uses the simulator's core icing effects and will affect flight dynamics based on the option selected in the simulator's settings (MSFS Options > Assistance Options > Icing Effect).
