Will v2 of the F28 be the next release?
-
I thought when the 146 received the UNS-1 it would be a quick update for the F28 to give us this functionality. Then we got the RJ, which I love as well, but still want to fly the F28 with the UNS. Will the 70/100 series be released before the UNS-1/v2 of the F28? It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything.

Hard to say for sure but currently it looks like the V2 update for the F28 Professional will be released ahead of the F70/100 Professional.
Did you take in the end of year round up that was posted in December? An update on pretty much everything can be found there.

I had not seen that. Thank you very much. Last I heard they were expecting release before the end of 2024, so I was unaware of this delay, which is reminiscent of the delays for the v2 of the 146 which now worries me that we won’t see this until June or July. Ah well. Can’t rush good work.

Is there any news on the F28 v2 update? Can any information be shared about what roadblock is keeping it from being released, please? Is it 2024 compatibility?
-

So guys plz give us news and plz release this like idk March 1rst- March 5th cuz guys its been too long. Also wil, the f70 get full vnav ? Will it get an autothrottle? But most importantly VNAV?

@707PILOT2018 I think it is always a good sign to wait instead of getting a half finished addon 😊 don't you think?
I am sure it is coming soon, and I am sure JF is doing everything they can to release a nice addon -
@707PILOT2018 Good things come to those who wait.. such a development takes time. And it's definitely not worth comparing development to the likes of iniBuilds who have a much bigger team (and have been working on the A350 for around 2 years at least!).

@Sheepie Indeed. Not to blow smoke up Just Flight's virtual tailpipe, but in all the years I've used their products they have been far above the average for not only the quality of the product but how, for all the complexity they build in, they basically 'work' right out of the box. And any defects found after the product is pushed out into the real world with its uncountable variables gets a v1.1/v1.2 update very quickly.
As much as I am getting itchy throttle-fingers for the F28 V2 (in fact I've basically stopped flying it since the preview pics were released back in the summer because I don't like looking at the blank space on the panel where I now know an Altitude Controller Module should be, or the sunshade brackets with no sunshades...), I always admire JF's willingness to Get It Right rather than to push scruffy product out just to meet a previously stated deadline.
If June rolls round and V2 still hasn't arrived, or if it does arrive and the pitch control still gets in fights with itself at low Gross Weights (I'll gladly forego animated ashtrays for control logic that doesn't see the trim wheel do impressions of an old rotary dial telephone...) , then I may change my tune. But I'm quietly confident that that wont' be the case.

JF, are you waiting for MSFS 2024 SU1 for the v2 update?
-
@piedmonitor No we're not. Or not intentionally anyway.
It's not too far away now, rest assured. And when it does arrive you'll be greeted with quite the Changelog. It'll certainly be worth the wait, of that we're certain. Some key aspects still need some work and then testing and fine tuning but we're getting close to those final builds now.
Can't give any exact dates at the moment but hopefully within the next week or two you'll start to hear more from us about the release and we plan to supply at least one or two new videos showing off the new and improved features.
So, not long to wait now and as ever we thank you all for your patience. It's appreciated.
