    Hi,
I have a problem where, during landing, right after touchdown, the nose lifts up, and I have to push the joystick forward to get the front wheels to touch the ground. The lift spoilers deploy automatically, but the airbrakes don't activate. Should I deploy them manually (like in BAE 146), or are they supposed to activate automatically?

I assume you have the lift spoiler switches on in the top left corner of the overhead panel, under the avionics master swicthes? (I am sure you do but never hurts to ask just in case). Also are you deploying your air brake when the FO says airbrake out, after crossing the runway threshold?

I have the lift spoilers turned on and they deploy automatically during landing, the question is whether the air brakes activate automatically or should I deploy them manually (like in BAE 146)?

the air brakes must be deployed manually just before touch down - about 100'AGL. They do NOT deploy automatically.

In addition, as per the FCOM you are supposed to move the air brake lever to the lift splrs detent after touchdown.
This is done to make sure that the lift spoilers deploy even if the automatic lift spoilers system fails.
