Low FPS

Does hiding the cabin improve fps? I thought of hiding it light before taxiing and enabling it after shutting down
-
@Gabe777 I tried it, I even moved the EFB slider to the minimum, there is no improvement, I noticed that the fps remains at 29 or 30 even in the air where usually with other planes from other developers the fps increases noticeably, I also tried With Lossless scaling, this program that helps you generate more fps using AI, increased the fps but with this plane it causes horrible artifacts and stutters.
Well, I hope they improve the performance in future updates,
I have always had problems with fps with justflight airplanes, the only airplane that works well is the fokker f28, the bae 146 and the RJ are very bad for me, especially the RJ. -
In the upcoming 2024 simulator marketplace, there will be an option to rent a plane (it's up to the developer to enable renting or not). This could be helpful for people curious to see how a plane performs on their PC before committing to the full price. I’m not sure if renting will be available in the 2020 version.

@neinnunb That is the best thing about the msfs2024, I bought this plane because I love the RJ and the BAE, I bought it with the hope that they would improve their performance since the Fokker F28 performs well in fps for me, better than the 146 which I also liked. It's going terrible. I thought RJ would be better for me, but it was my mistake, my money went down the drain.

OK.
So I'm personally not seeing any drop in FPS.
I would start with an uninstall and reinstall of the aircraft. It only takes 5 minutes.
That 'often' cures stuff like this.
As I suspected.. . whatever was causing the stuttering early in the 146's life was avoided this time.
Mine is running beautifully. Even though I can't get the AP to engage.
EDIT: so now I'm at FL250 I'm experiencing a drop in FPS by about 50 percent vs the BAe 146 and other airliners... in the cockpit.
I'm too looking at 25 fps vs my usual 50 to 60.
Exterior seems OK. And dropping refresh rate makes zero difference as does turning off radar/map.
-
Now I'm up to cruise altitude I too am seeing this drop in FPS in the cockpit.
Something is deffo wrong. Only getting 25 fps in middle of nowhere with no traffic.
I'm on a 14700k and 4080. I get double this usually, including with the BAe 146.
Edit: after a while performance recovers. Seems to be intermittent during climb phase and level out.
-
Yeah. And I get a bit of slow down during levelling off with AP calculations etc.
No drama. It soon settles down.
Edit: Done a few flights now and maneuvering via the AP deffo hammers the FPS.** CAUSING BAD STUTTERS... where it shouldn't.
(This same issue was fixed in the BAe146 after a couple of updates.)
** It seems to be when it's doing the calculations... CPU usage doubles to 40-odd percent when it's usually c25 %.

The same for me. Did some FPS-Tests in EDHL - a very small airport. Simply loaded the sim with the PMDG 736 on stand 2, I got 46 FPS. Then the same with the RJ85 and I got around 30 FPS.
When I load it in cold&dark state, it has aprox 36 FPS. As soon as I switch it on (Batteries and systems) it goes to 30 FPS and stays there. EFIS on or off makes no difference, as well as fiddeling with the EFIS refresh rate.
(with the PMDG I have 50 FPS cold&dark and 46FPS with systems on)Hardware is a Core i9 / 3080TI.
You can imagine how it looks on very big airports… almost unusable.
