    Hi.

With the UNS-1, will it be possible to execute RNAV approaches with a vertical profile (glide path), or will we still be limited to lateral profiles only? (Just like it’s currently possible with the GNS 530)?

    Tks.

    Alan.

The current plan is for the UNS-1 to support lateral profiles only during RNAV approaches, as we don't believe a UNS-1 fitted to the real aircraft would support vertical profiles.

The UNS-1 in the F28 will support LNAV autopilot coupling but not VNAV autopilot coupling. However, the VNAV pages of the UNS-1 will still be functional like in our 146, so they can still be used to plan descents and view altitude restrictions.

why dont u make a vnav coupling option in the uns 1? Would be great for noobies. Although I dont think its realistic but u know noobies can get overwhelmed by the workload.
