erratic trimwheel in AP mode

Is it normal for the trim wheel numbers to change up and down constantly in AP mode. I have an axis devoted to elevator trim, so I am not sure how the trim wheel interacts with the autopilot.

Yes. Quite normal.

I find the stock trim when using a pulse encoder wheel, a little too sensitive. But you can go into the system.cfg file, and reduce elevator trim sensitivity from 1.0 to 0.75.
