Elevator trim not working
-
I have a thrustmaster warthog Hotas and the default elevator trim is the pov hat on the joystick
However that does not seam to work as f I’m flying straight and level pushing trim fwd or rearwards does nothing to the attitude and no movement on the trim gauge
However if I use the aileron trim defaulted to the lateral movement of the pov button then the aircraft will trim with a roll.
Is the any way I can verify that the elevator trim is working
I have tried mapping a diff button but still the elevator won’t trimAny help gratefully received

@jaspar11 The Hawk uses the following MSFS control assignments for the elevator trim:
ELEVATOR TRIM UP (NOSE UP)
ELEVATOR TRIM DOWN (NOSE DOWN)The tailplane position indicator on the main instrument panel should give you an indication of the position of the tailplane and if it is moving with the above control assignments. The tailplane should also be seen moving on the exterior as the trim is operated.

Thanks for reply mark but that’s the assignments I have been using
If I move the control stick the tailplane position does indead move but if sitting on ground lets say and I move trim either fwd or rwd the indicator does not move and when in flight using the trim assignment does not adjust the attitude of the aircraft -
Update sitting in cockpit and looking at the joystick I do see the trim switch move in the correct sense but looking at the tailplane gauge it also moves but only half a mark stop to stop I.e needle shows 0 angle push nose down trim and needle moves very slightly to 0.5 deg nose down same with up trim only moves to 0.5 deg so halk a cal mark on gauge

@jaspar11 I have just tested this and I am seeing the tail plan position indicator move between +5 and -3 by triggering the elevator trim assignments, so that sounds like there may be some other controller conflict that may be preventing the trim from working correctly for you.
