It is impossible to release an X-Box title without it going live on sale via MarketPlace. We are able to test in a secure beta environment and, so far, the results have been unacceptable to us and our independent testers.
@Derek thanks I hope you guys are adding pressure to asobo as well, because if they stuck to only the PC we wouldn't have sit in this mess in the first place. its not our fault nor yours that they cant deliver a proper optimised game. looks like adobo has a reputation with bad titles on consoles, I wish I could tell them that directly
have a good day further yeah!

If this is not going to work on Xbox, then please just tell us honestly.
I think I have been pretty clear and honest with my explanation above. We are unable to get the software to work satisfactorily with the XBox S. Various updates to the game have promised improvements in this area, but, so far, no joy.
There is a huge commercial incentive for us to make our best-selling title work on console. As you say, most things can indeed be made to work, but the compromise to quality required has, so far, has been unacceptable to us. We have been developing and publishing the Traffic series for nearly a quarter of a century and it is disappointing to be unable to deliver a satisfactory version for console. In terms of going the extra mile we have spent (wasted?) a lot of time on this aspect of the project and it is frustrating to be unable to deliver a version that adds a realistic set of air traffic to MSFS.
However, as MSFS is not 'static' and new updates are released, we will continue to test each new update and see if there is a resolution to the situation.@Derek said in Fs traffic xbox:

I assume this is referring to MSFS2024 now? Just looking to clarify given that when this thread kicked off 2024 was but a twinkle in Asobo’s eye

You assume correctly. The iteration of the game is not really that relevant - it's the console performance that is the issue. We have tried with 2024 but no significant difference AFAIK.
@Derek - curious stuff! I found that with resource heavy aircraft there was a marked difference in performance between MSFS2020 and MSFS2024 with regards to the Series S, less noticeably so with the Series X. I am very aware though that that’s very much anecdotal, while you guys will have access to telemetry with hard numbers.
Hopefully something works out some time, and thanks for being so engaging, it’s really appreciated

Yes, see forum rule 7. Discussing alternative products is fine but promoting them is something we’d like to avoid.

Hey guys, I noticed in the April 8 Development Update Chart that FS Traffic was submitted to the Marketplace for Xbox but I don't see it on there yet, is this true? Are we just waiting on Microsoft to publish it at this point? Thanks for any info!
