Fs traffic xbox

Yes, we are hopeful that the Xbox performance optimisations listed in the Sim Update 16 Beta release notes will be those that were initially scheduled to release in a Sim Update last year, but were later postponed. We have also developed further optimisations within the product itself, which will be included in upcoming updates on PC, so we will be thoroughly testing FS Traffic on Xbox once both of these improvements are available.
Unfortunately, we're not able to give any timeframes for this as it's a fairly lengthy process to test products on Xbox consoles and we are not yet sure just how significant the improvements in Sim Update 16 will be, but we want to be fully confident that Xbox consoles (particularly the Series S) can perform at an acceptable level with a realistic amount of traffic generated before committing to a release date.

Thanks for the feedback, I'm a Series S user and currently testing the SU16 beta which has considerable improvements. There's a lot of work to be done, of course. I'm glad because there's a lack of a decent traffic solution for Xbox and FS Traffic looks magnificent!

Hi Just Flight team,
Now that Sim Update 16 is finally out, I wanted to ask if you could share some insight or direction regarding the status of FS Traffic for Xbox (specifically for MSFS 2020).
I understand SU16 has just launched, and you’ll likely need time to test and evaluate. I’m not asking for immediate news or deadlines just hoping you might consider giving the Xbox community a bit more transparency when you’re able.
A lot of us are still on MSFS 2020 and really looking forward to FS Traffic on console. Any clarification about the current outlook, next steps, or technical feasibility would be deeply appreciated.
Thanks again for your continued work and support.

Our goal remains the same: to get FS Traffic released on Xbox, but that will depend on how testing goes with Sim Update 16. We will be scheduling some testing time over the coming weeks to see how everything performs on the Xbox's, and we'll go from there.
It's tricky to comment on whether Sim Update 16 has increased the likelihood of FS Traffic releasing on Xbox until we've had a chance to be able to properly test it.

@Mark
Thank you for your reply, personally and reading the forums it seems that the stability and performance in general have improved in SU16. Hopefully this is the right update that was needed to bring fs traffic to Xbox.
Thanks again. -
This is quite an old thread but wondered if we can get any update on progress with getting FS traffic for Xbox please?

We have tried our best on this but, unfortunately, the XBox S is simply not up to the job at the moment. Never say never, and, as each new SU comes out, we take another look. The situation is pretty well summarised on this thread and, so far, there have been no significant changes.

I think this situation really shows how Xbox users are being overlooked. It’s been almost 3.5 years since this was first mentioned, and we still don’t have a clear, direct answer. If this is not going to work on Xbox, then please just tell us honestly. It would be far better to hear that directly than to keep getting vague updates. At least then we can stop asking and move on, because right now the constant uncertainty is frustrating for everyone.
A lot of us are just as frustrated as you probably are, but from the outside it really feels like things are being dragged out without a clear plan.
What’s also difficult to understand is the technical side of it. From what we’ve seen, even lower-end PCs don’t take a huge FPS hit with this. There are plenty of videos and reviews showing that. So why can’t there at least be some kind of scaled-down version for Xbox, like you often see with other features? Even 50–75% aircraft traffic would be a massive improvement. We’re not asking for 200% traffic or ultra-detailed 4K models — we understand the limitations of the Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X.
All we really want is something better than what we currently have — which, is very low-quality grade 1 drawn temu sold placeholder aircraft. This system is supposed to replace that, so even a simplified version would still be a big step forward.
Right now, it honestly feels like Just Flight doesn’t want to commit to a proper plan for Xbox. Maybe that’s not the case, but that’s how it comes across. Because at the end of the day, most things can be made to work in some form — it depends on how much effort and priority is given to it.
At the moment, it feels like overpromising and underdelivering, which is disappointing. And like many others, I’m really frustrated with Asobo Studio and everyone involved for not going the extra mile here.
What we’re really asking for is clarity, honesty, and some kind of realistic solution — even if it’s not perfect. we just want better traffic in the sim, trust me people will pay just to have something good for a change -

I think I have been pretty clear and honest with my explanation above. We are unable to get the software to work satisfactorily with the XBox S. Various updates to the game have promised improvements in this area, but, so far, no joy.
There is a huge commercial incentive for us to make our best-selling title work on console. As you say, most things can indeed be made to work, but the compromise to quality required has, so far, has been unacceptable to us. We have been developing and publishing the Traffic series for nearly a quarter of a century and it is disappointing to be unable to deliver a satisfactory version for console. In terms of going the extra mile we have spent (wasted?) a lot of time on this aspect of the project and it is frustrating to be unable to deliver a version that adds a realistic set of air traffic to MSFS.
However, as MSFS is not 'static' and new updates are released, we will continue to test each new update and see if there is a resolution to the situation. -
It is impossible to release an X-Box title without it going live on sale via MarketPlace. We are able to test in a secure beta environment and, so far, the results have been unacceptable to us and our independent testers.
@Derek thanks I hope you guys are adding pressure to asobo as well, because if they stuck to only the PC we wouldn't have sit in this mess in the first place. its not our fault nor yours that they cant deliver a proper optimised game. looks like adobo has a reputation with bad titles on consoles, I wish I could tell them that directly
have a good day further yeah!
